Impact of Mandibular Canal Trajectory on Paresthesia After Inferior Alveolar Nerve Lateralization...

Alveolar Bone LossNeurosensory Disorder

This prospective cohort study aims to investigate the relationship between mandibular canal trajectory and the duration of postoperative paresthesia in patients undergoing inferior alveolar nerve lateralization. The study will assess mandibular canal trajectory using anatomic factors and evaluate nerve sensory function using subjective and objective tests. Implant success criteria will also be assessed. The study will be conducted on patients who underwent IANL due to mandibular atrophy and were unable to receive standard or short implant placement. Data will be collected at regular follow-up visits up to 1-year post-surgery.

Influence of Thickness of the Peri-implant Soft Tissue on Marginal Bone Remodeling

Alveolar Bone Loss

The aim of this observational study is the evaluation of marginal bone remodeling after surgical implant placement, correlating the gingival thickness with the bone resorption rate.

Comparison of Narrow and Regular Implants

Dental Implant FailedAlveolar Bone Loss1 more

The study was designed as a retrospective, parallel, two years longitudinal pilot trial. Twenty-eight patients (mean age: 48.34 ± 6.06) aged between 35 and 60 years and 66 TiUnite surfaces (Nobel Biocare Parallel Conical Connection), bone level dental implant were included in the study. The implants were divided into two different groups according to the NPIs and regular platform implants(RPIs). The mean implant lengths, plaque index(PI), gingival index(GI), periodontal pocket depth(PD), gingival recession(GR), keratinized gingival width(KGW) and bleeding on probing(BOP) values were recorded. The Student's t-test used for between-group comparison.

Sonographic Imaging of Oral and Dental Anatomical Structures (A Pilot Study)

UltrasoundOral Mucosa2 more

The overall purpose of this study is to establish an ultrasound technique to aid in oral and dental examination of soft and hard tissues. Ultrasound is currently not used in Dentistry and associated oral examinations and its usefulness for clinical practice will be explored. This study will investigate the use of ultrasonic imaging for planning and placing dental implants, as well as evaluate the use of ultrasonic imaging for monitoring marginal bone loss around dental implants.

Increase of Peri-implant Soft Tissues With Screw or Membrane

Alveolar Bone Loss

The objective of this observational study is to evaluate the growth of peri-implant soft tissues using an heterologous dermal membrane graft (group A) or a 2 mm healing screw used as a vertical support of the limbs (group B) positioned at the moment of surgical insertion of the implant.

A Retrospective Analysis of Failures of Oral Implants

Dental Implant FailurePeriodontal Bone Loss

The purpose of this retrospective study is to investigate and identify factors associated with the failure of dental implants within the population rehabilitated with dental implants at the Folktandvården Specialistklinik in Malmö (Spårvägsgatan 12, 214 27, Malmö).

Pontic Site Development Using Soft Tissue Augmentation

Alveolar Bone Loss

in patients with vertical or horizontal defective of there ridge it is difficult to have prosthetic restoration with natural appearance emetating and simulating the adjacent abutment emergence profile so this study aims to develop the defective area using two different materials of soft tissue grafting techniques to restore the missing tissue and regain soft tissue volume and profile

Apico-coronal Position of Tissue-level Implants Bone Stability

Bone AtrophyAlveolar

early marginal bone loss around dental implants may hamper long term prognosis of implant-prosthetic rehabilitation. this study aimed to study the correlation of pico-coronal position of dental implant (from supracrestal, crystal to undergone level) measuring early marginal bone loss through periapical x-ray at surgical time and subsequent follow-ups.

Comparative Study of Gene-activated Bone Substitute and Xenogenic Bone Matrix in Alveolar Ridge...

Alveolar Bone LossAlveolar Ridge Pathology | Gingiva | Dental

The study aim is to compare the effectiveness of two bone substitutes, the gene-activated bone substitute based on octacalcium phosphate and plasmid DNA encoding VEGFA gene and xemogenic deproteinized bone matrix, mixed with shredded autobone in vertical and horizontal augmentation of alveolar ridge before dental implantation
