Relationship Between Morbimortality and Basal Activated Clotting Time (ACT) in Patients Undergoing...
Artery DiseasePeripheral3 moreCheck whether patients with higher comorbidity and risk of complication, estimated using the V (p) -POSSUM score, ACS NSQIP and the ASA classification, present higher baseline activated clotting time values.
Multicentric Non-randomized Investigation of RESISTANT Camouflage Stent-system
Peripheral Artery DiseaseNon-randomized multicenter post-market study to confirm the long-term safety and effectiveness of the CE-approved Camouflage-coated self-expandable RESISTANT Camouflage stent system for revascularization of de novo stenotic lesions in the superficial femoral artery in 100 compliant patients suitable for stent angioplasty. The CE-approved device will be used according to its intended use. Beyond the standard of care no further interventions are scheduled. Therefore, this trial is subject to the exception to the rule §23b of the German Medical Device Act (MPG), which includes the national implementation of EC directive 93/42/EEC.
Safety and Performance of the Zeus CC Stent for the Treatment of Iliac Occlusive Disease
Peripheral Artery DiseaseThe purpose of this study is to evaluate safety and performance of the balloon-expandable Zeus CC (Rontis AG) stent for the treatment of Trans-Atlantic Inter-Society Consensus (TASC) A, B, C and D iliac lesions.
Pilot Study: Cardiovascular Events in High Risk Orthopedic Surgical Patients
Coronary Artery DiseaseCerebral Vascular Disease9 moreThis is a non-randomized, non-interventional pilot observational study designed to follow high-risk patients through their surgical and hospital stay. The investigators will collect 2 4ml vial's of blood (total of 8ml) prior to surgery to assess CV biomarkers - inflammatory, metabolic, hypercoagulable and platelet.
Telerobotic Ultrasound for Carotid Imaging - Feasibility Study
Carotid Artery DiseaseAtherosclerosis18 moreIn this proposal, the investigators will demonstrate the feasibility and noninferiority of telerobotic ultrasonography as compared to traditional manual acquisition in performing a limited carotid Duplex examination and in carotid plaque detection.
Evaluation of Surgical Risk in Elderly Patients Submitted to Elective Surgery
PERIPHERAL VASCULAR DISEASESDigestive Diseases1 moreThe purpose of this study is to establish the surgical risk factors and differences between different diseases in elderly patients submitted to elective surgery in our institution.
Antiplatelet Effects of Evolocumab in Patients With Peripheral Arterial Disease
Peripheral Arterial DiseaseMonoclonal antibodies against PCSK9 are innovative agents that provide very potent LDL reduction when administered on top of statins. PCSK9 antibodies prevent LDL receptor degradation and enhance circulatory LDL cholesterol clearance. High LDL is a major risk factor for PAD and therefore lipid-lowering therapy constitutes another important therapeutic intervention for patients with PAD. Evolocumab is a common PCSK-9 inhibitor that has been shown to reduce plasma LDL. In this study sixty subjects will be treated with high dose statins for 8 weeks followed by 8 weeks of high dose statin + evolocumab (420mg/4 wk) therapy. The laboratory assessments will be performed at the screening (baseline), after 8 weeks of high-dose statin therapy, and 24 hr and 8 weeks after high dose statin + evolocumab therapy
Transcutaneous Electrostimulation for Intermittent Claudication Supervised Walking Therapy for Intermittent...
Intermittent ClaudicationPeripheral Arterial DiseaseProspective mono-centric trial on patients with peripheral arterial disease and intermittent claudication that receive supervised exercise therapy (group 1) vs. supervised exercise therapy + daily transcutaneous electro-stimulation of the calf muscles.
Perfusion Assessment Using BOLD MRI and PBV in Endovascular Treatment of Peripheral Arterial Occlusive...
Peripheral Arterial DiseaseTissue PerfusionCurrent assessment of lower limb ischemia cannot reflect the location and degree of ischemia. Tissue perfusion assessment was used in the diagnosis and treatment of lower limb ischemia in this project, and the quantitative evaluation of ischemia degree was realized by using its advantages of quantitative analysis and perfusion imaging.
