Innova Breeze®-Based Roadmap for Peripheral Arterial Disease
Peripheral Arterial DiseaseOver the past decade, interventional endovascular treatment, whenever feasible, has become the first line management in the treatment of lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD) for many indications. Growth of endovascular therapy was based on shorter hospital length of stay and lower complications rates. This minimally invasive procedure allows the revascularization of the lower limbs under fluoroscopy guidance, with injection of iodinated contrast allowing to analyze the arteries. However, many of these patients present renal insufficiency which could be worsened due to the iodinated contrast injections during the endovascular procedure for LEAD. Consequently, the vascular interventionalist should find a way to achieve patient revascularization while minimizing iodinated contrast injections in order to maintain the renal function. The aim of this study is to compare the amount of iodine contrast used during LEAD endovascular revascularization with and without the Innova Breeze® and blended roadmap software.
Ultrasound Cavitation Therapy for CLI
Peripheral Arterial DiseaseIn this study, we will explore how ultrasound exposure of ultrasound contrast agents, which produces beneficial shear-mediated bioeffects, can be used to treat patients with severe non-healing ulcers secondary to peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The primary outcome measure is whether ultrasound exposure to microbubble contrast agents in the inflow artery and at the wound site can accelerate wound healing. A secondary outcome measure is whether cavitation-related changes occur in tissue perfusion in the treated limb and wound measured by ultrasound perfusion imaging and skin flow.
Improving Exercise Rehabilitation Efficacy Outcomes Veterans Peripheral Artery Disease
Peripheral Artery Disease (D058729)Oxidative Stress (D018384)1 morePhysical activity is the most beneficial and cost-effective treatment for Veterans with PAD, however, issues with oxygen delivery and utilization dramatically impair exercise compliance. The cause of these oxygen delivery and utilization impairments is likely increased oxidative stress and inflammation. The proposed project will comprehensively examine the novel strategy of Nuclear Factor Erythroid-2-like 2 (Nrf2) activation using PB125, aimed at diminishing oxidative stress and inflammation, and thereby lessening the negative impacts of the disease. This therapeutic will be evaluated in isolation and in combination with exercise rehabilitation to determine if there is a complimentary benefit. The ultimate goal is to provide insight into a potential novel therapeutic treatment for this disease, therefore, improving exercise tolerance and quality of life in this growing population.

Select ≥3 hospitals with the qualification of national clinical trial institutions as clinical trial centers, and plan to enroll a total of 120 subjects. The ratio of subjects in the trial group and the control group is 1: 1 (60 in the trial group and 60 in the control group). This study mainly includes four stages: the screening (baseline) period (-14 ~0 days), the operation day (the day of treatment), the postoperative visit (0~7days ) and the 30-day follow-up (30 ±7days ).
