Spinal Cord Stimulation for Painful Diabetic Neuropathy
Diabetic NeuropathyPain1 moreThe purpose of this study is to evaluate Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) therapy in individuals who suffer from painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Patients invited to participate in this study will be eligible for SCS therapy, and will have already selected therapy with the Advanced Bionics Precision system independent of possible inclusion in this study. The device, accessories, and procedures associated with device placement and the indications for use are all consistent with the current and approved product labeling.
Safety and Efficacy Study of Prosaptide to Treat Neuropathic Pain in HIV-Positive Patients
HIVPeripheral Nervous System DisordersThis is a double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel groups study to determine whether prosptide is effective in relieving pain in patients who have sensory neuropathic pain related to their HIV infection or the drugs used to treat it.
Prevention And Treatment Of Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy In Subjects With Advanced...
Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral NeuropathyPrevention and treatment of the severity of symptoms of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
[S,S]-Reboxetine Long Term Safety Study In Chronic Painful Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.
PainThe purpose of this study is to assess the long-term safety and tolerability of [S,S]-Reboxetine in patients with chronic painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy
Study of NGX-4010 for Treatment of Painful HIV-Associated Neuropathy
HIV InfectionsPeripheral Nervous System Diseases1 moreThe purpose of the study is to determine if an investigational drug, NGX-4010 (high-concentration capsaicin patch), is safe, tolerable and effective in treating painful HIV-associated neuropathy.
Near Infrared Light for the Treatment of Painful Peripheral Neuropathy
Peripheral NeuropathyThe purpose of this study is to determine if near infrared light therapy is effective in decreasing pain in patients with painful peripheral neuropathy. The hypothesis of the study was that the percentage of subjects with at least 40% improvement in visual analog scale score for pain after 4 weeks of treatment is higher for Monochromatic Near-infrared Photoenergy (MIRE) treatment than for sham treatment.
Dextromethorphan in Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy Management
Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral NeuropathyThe aim of this study is to assess if dextromethorphan administered during 4 weeks induces a decrease of pain intensity in breast cancer patients suffering from chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy compared to placebo group.
Cannabinoids for Taxane Induced Peripheral Neuropathy
Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral NeuropathyTaxane-induced peripheral neuropathy (TIPN) affects a significant number of women undergoing breast cancer treatment. Some patients may need to shorten their course of treatment, and do not receive the full benefit of chemotherapy as a result. Rodent studies have shown that the cannabinoids may significantly improve hyperalgesia and allodynia induced by paclitaxel. The goal of this study is to investigate the cannabinoids THC and CBD for TIPN.
The Efficacy Of Intravenous Immunoglobulin Therapy In Treatment Induced Neuropathy Of Diabetes
Diabetes ComplicationsDiabetes Mellitus1 moreThe goal of this pilot study is to obtain preliminary data on the magnitude of the treatment effect of IVIG on the neuropathic pain and neuropathy severity associated with treatment induced neuropathy (TIND). The investigators hypothesize that immune globulin, administered intravenously (IVIG), will reduce the pain associated with treatment induced neuropathy and reduce the neuropathy severity. Treatment induced neuropathy in diabetes, is an iatrogenic complications of diabetes. The preliminary data will be used to power a larger treatment trial, and to aid the understanding of the mitigating factors in the treatment response.
An Evaluation of the Effect of Low Level Laser Therapy on Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Pain
Diabetic Peripheral NeuropathyThe purpose of this study is to determine whether low level laser therapy is effective in the reduction of foot pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
