Near-infrared Imaging With Indocyanine Green for Detection of Peritoneal Metastases for Gastric...

Gastric CancerGastric Adenocarcinoma2 more

Peritoneal disease at initial presentation for patients with gastric adenocarcinoma (GA) is frequent, with 15-31% of patients presenting with peritoneal metastases (PM) at surgical exploration. The prognosis of patients with PM is poor, overall survival (OS) ranging from 8 to 13 months, reinforcing the importance of optimal patient selection before surgical management of GA. Indocyanine Green (ICG) fluorescence imaging for intraoperative detection of PM has been described in recent literature as a useful tool in patients undergoing cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for peritoneal malignancies to increase the detection of PM during surgery. However, the role of ICG for patients with GA, and its role during diagnosic laparoscopy (DL), remain unknown.

Adjuvant Pressurized IntraPeritoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC) in Resected High Risk Colon Cancer...

Peritoneum CancerPeritoneal Carcinomatosis2 more

In this study, patients will be offered two Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC) treatments with oxaliplatin after primary resection and standard adjuvant chemotherapy (if indicated) for colon cancer. Furthermore, the study will explore, whether it is possible to find free intraperitoneal tumor cells (FITC) after resection and adjuvant chemotherapy for colon cancer.

Role of Magnetic Resonance Enterography for Predicting Peritoneal Cancer Index

Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal ChemotherapyCytoreductive Surgery1 more

This is a prospective observational study which will recruit 90 participants over a three-year period to investigate whether adding magnetic resonance imaging and enterography to routine computed tomography study can better predict the extend of peritoneal carcinomatosis over computed tomography alone.

Microdevice In Ovarian, Fallopian Tube, And Peritoneal Cancer

Ovarian CancerFallopian Tube Cancer5 more

This pilot study will assess the feasibility of using an implantable microdevice to measure local intratumor response to chemotherapy and other clinically relevant drugs in ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancer. The name of the study intervention involved in this study is: -implantable microdevice

Impact of Cardiac Coherence on Anxiety in Patients Operated on for a Peritoneal Carcinosis

Peritoneal CarcinomatosisPseudomyxoma Peritonei1 more

The investigator proposes to use the cardiac coherence technique to diminish anxiety before the surgery of a peritoneal carcinosis of colon or stomach or ovary and pseudomyxoma or peritoneal mesothelioma.

Feasibility of the LUM Imaging System for Peritoneal Surface Malignancies

Peritoneal Metastases

The objective of this feasibility study is to assess the initial safety and efficacy of the LUM Imaging System for in vivo imaging of metastases to the peritoneum from primary gastrointestinal cancer, ovarian cancer and mesothelioma. This feasibility study consists of two parts: (a) a dose escalation phase to select the optimal dose followed by (b) enrollment of additional patients to develop the tumor detection algorithm.

Patient Derived Vascularized MicroTumor Model of Gastrointestinal Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

Peritoneal CarcinomatosisGastrointestinal Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

This is a pilot study gathering and using samples and data from patients with gastrointestinal peritoneal carcinomatosis. Participants will be asked for permission to provide blood and ascites/peritoneal wash fluid, tumor samples during their planned surgical procedure.

Adavosertib Before Surgery in Treating Patients With Advanced High Grade Ovarian, Fallopian Tube,...

Advanced Fallopian Tube CarcinomaAdvanced Ovarian Carcinoma20 more

This pilot early phase I trial studies how adavosertib affects the tumor deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of patients undergoing surgery for high grade (fast growing or aggressive) ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer that has spread to other places in the body (advanced). Certain characteristics in the DNA of these patients may affect how well they respond to treatment. Learning how adavosertib affects DNA in tumor cells may help doctors plan effective treatment.

CarcinomaOvarian Epithelial9 more

Study to compare the safety and efficacy of oregovomab versus placebo, administered in combination with specific cycles of a standard six-cycle chemotherapy regimen (paclitaxel and carboplatin), for the treatment of subjects with newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer who have undergone optimal debulking.

Vaccine Therapy for Patients With Stage IIIC-IV Ovarian Epithelial, Fallopian Tube, or Primary Peritoneal...

Fallopian Tube Clear Cell AdenocarcinomaFallopian Tube Endometrioid Tumor21 more

This pilot clinical trial studies the safety and immunogenicity of vaccine therapy in treating patients with stage IIIC-IV ovarian epithelial, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cavity cancer following surgery and chemotherapy. Vaccines made from a person's peptide treated white blood cells may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells.
