Evaluation of Early Retinal Vascular Modifications After Endoscopic Endonasal Pituitary Surgery...
Pituitary AdenomaThis study evaluates the retinal vascular features using optical coherence tomography angiography in patients that received endoscopic endonasal approach for the removal of an intra-suprasellar pituitary adenoma compressing the optic nerve.
Predictive OCTA Biomarkers After Endoscopic Endonasal Pituitary Surgery
Pituitary AdenomaThis study evaluates the structural parameters, by spectral domain optical coherence tomography (OCT), retinal vessel density, using OCT angiography, and visual acuity in patients that received endoscopic endonasal approach for the removal of an intra-suprasellar pituitary adenoma compressing the optic nerve.
Changes in the Hypotalamic-pituitary Region of Patients With Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity
Overweight and ObesityMetabolic SyndromeThis study aims to identify new morphological and quantitative magnetic imaging parameters of pituitary gland and sellar region in overweight and obese patient at baseline and after 3 years, dividing patients in 3 groups (weight loss through diet and lifestyle changes, weight loss through bariatric surgery, no weight loss)
Forces During Skull Base Surgery
Skull BasePituitary3 moreThis study is designed to measure forces applied using standard surgical instruments at the skull base during resection of skull base lesions. This data will be useful for optimizing an active canula robot for assisting in skull base surgery. We hypothesize that through measurement of forces generated during routine endoscopic skull base surgery we will be able to optimize the canulas of an active canula robot for skull base surgery.
PITUItary Carcinoma or Aggressive Tumors REgistry -Lyon
Pituitary TumorThe purpose of this study is to observe predictors of pituitary tumor recurrence and markers of persistent disease activity through computerized collection of comprehensive demographic, therapeutic, pathologic and outcome information on patients harboring pituitary mass lesions of all types.
Hepatic Steatosis and Pituitary Gland Failure, Evaluation by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Imaging...
Hepatic SteatosisPituitary Gland FailureThe investigator put forward the hypothesis that liver fat mass in patients with pituitary gland failure is greater than that in a control population. Failure of the anterior pituitary and more particularly impaired production of growth hormone (GH) could be the principal mechanism responsible for increased liver fat mass in these patients.
Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction in Patients Undergoing Pituitary Removal Surgery
Pituitary TumorAs postoperative cognitive dysfunction rates are high especially in elder patients, cognitive dysfunction is not diagnosed and treated effectively. This statement is associated with prolonged hospital stays by increasing morbidity. We wanted to see the incidency of postoperative cognitive dysfunction in patients undergoing elective pituitary tumor removal surgery.
Incidence of Rhinological Morbidities During Endonasal Pituitary Surgery, With or Without Nasoseptal...
Surgery--ComplicationsDetermine and compare prospectively the incidence of rhinological adverse events during pituitary surgery with or without nasoseptal flap
Does Topical Steroid Treatment Impair the Adrenal Function?
Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis AssessementTopical Steroid Therapy in Chronic Skin DiseasesThe purpose of this study is to determine if topical steroids treatment for different skin diseases suppress the adrenal cortisol production.
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) in Pituitary Adenoma
Pituitary AdenomaSeveral studies have been reported that heart rate is known to be associated with prognosis in chronic diseases and acute diseases. For example, a decrease in heart rate following myocardial infarction may lead to a higher mortality rate. It is also known to predict heart failure, diabetic neuropathy, and even depression. The combined pituitary function test artificially induces hypoglycemia to observe the secretion of pituitary hormone. The degree of change in heart rate during hypoglycemia can predict the adequacy of the test, and heart rate can be changed according to the characteristic of the tumor. Also, the prognosis can be predicted based on this. In our study, we used a licensed device approved by KFDA (Korea Food and Drug Administration) to measure heart rate variability in patients with pituitary adenoma.
