Long-term Follow up for Retinal Vascular Changes After Endoscopic Endonasal Pituitary Surgery.
Pituitary AdenomaThis study investigates the retinal vascular features, using optical coherence tomography angiography, in patients during one year's follow up after the endoscopic endonasal surgery to remove an intra-suprasellar pituitary adenoma compressing the optic nerve.
Evaluation of Cavernous Sinus Invasion by Pituitary Adenoma Using Deep Learning Based Denoising...
Cavernous Sinus Invasion by Pituitary AdenomaPreoperative evaluation of cavernous sinus invasion by pituitary adenoma is critical for performing safe operation and deciding on surgical extent as well as for treatment success. Because of the small size of the pituitary gland and sellar fossa, determining the exact relationship between the pituitary adenoma and cavernous sinus can be challenging. Performing thin slice thickness MRI may be beneficial but is inevitably associated with increased noise level. By applying deep learning based denoising algorithm, diagnosis of cavernous sinus invasion by pituitary adenoma may be improved.
Evaluation of Early Retinal Vascular Modifications After Endoscopic Endonasal Pituitary Surgery...
Pituitary AdenomaThis study evaluates the retinal vascular features using optical coherence tomography angiography in patients that received endoscopic endonasal approach for the removal of an intra-suprasellar pituitary adenoma compressing the optic nerve.
Barrow Nasal Inventory Survey
Pituitary TumorsThe purpose of this study is to evaluate patient nasal outcome following endo-nasal surgery. This type of surgery is conducted for pituitary and skull base tumors. There is no published data on trauma to the nose during surgery and how it impacts nasal functioning. The investigators propose to develop a survey and administer it to patients before and after surgery to learn about their perception of nasal functioning.
OCT-angiography as a Pronostic Marker for Visual Impairment in Patients Undergoing Neurosurgery...
Pituitary AdenomaThe aim of the study is to assess accurancy of OCT angiography as a pronostic marker for patients undergoing neurosurgery for compressiver macroadenoma as compared with visual acuity, visual field and OCT.
Predictive OCTA Biomarkers After Endoscopic Endonasal Pituitary Surgery
Pituitary AdenomaThis study evaluates the structural parameters, by spectral domain optical coherence tomography (OCT), retinal vessel density, using OCT angiography, and visual acuity in patients that received endoscopic endonasal approach for the removal of an intra-suprasellar pituitary adenoma compressing the optic nerve.
Elucidating the Genetic Basis of the Pleuropulmonary Blastoma (PPB) Familial Cancer Syndrome
Pleuropulmonary BlastomaCystic Nephroma8 morePleuropulmonary Blastoma (PPB) is a rare lung tumor which develops in childhood. The underlying genetic factors which contribute to the development and progression of PPB are not defined. We are working to identify the genetic factors which may contribute to the development of this rare tumor.
PITUItary Carcinoma or Aggressive Tumors REgistry -Lyon
Pituitary TumorThe purpose of this study is to observe predictors of pituitary tumor recurrence and markers of persistent disease activity through computerized collection of comprehensive demographic, therapeutic, pathologic and outcome information on patients harboring pituitary mass lesions of all types.
Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction in Patients Undergoing Pituitary Removal Surgery
Pituitary TumorAs postoperative cognitive dysfunction rates are high especially in elder patients, cognitive dysfunction is not diagnosed and treated effectively. This statement is associated with prolonged hospital stays by increasing morbidity. We wanted to see the incidency of postoperative cognitive dysfunction in patients undergoing elective pituitary tumor removal surgery.
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) in Pituitary Adenoma
Pituitary AdenomaSeveral studies have been reported that heart rate is known to be associated with prognosis in chronic diseases and acute diseases. For example, a decrease in heart rate following myocardial infarction may lead to a higher mortality rate. It is also known to predict heart failure, diabetic neuropathy, and even depression. The combined pituitary function test artificially induces hypoglycemia to observe the secretion of pituitary hormone. The degree of change in heart rate during hypoglycemia can predict the adequacy of the test, and heart rate can be changed according to the characteristic of the tumor. Also, the prognosis can be predicted based on this. In our study, we used a licensed device approved by KFDA (Korea Food and Drug Administration) to measure heart rate variability in patients with pituitary adenoma.
