Active clinical trials for "Foot Ulcer"

Patients with eligible diabetic foot ulcers will be screened, treated, and followed for complete ulcer closure. This is a randomized trial. All patients will receive standard-of-care treatment. Additionally, some patients will receive treatment with topical Selinexor gel and some will receive topical placebo gel.

The primary aim of this study proposal is to test an innovative form of fetal bovine dermis bioscaffold in combination with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) to enhance wound healing in diabetic foot ulcers.

The aim of this study is to compare the clinical efficacy of two types of NPWT systems; the traditional negative pressure wound therapy (tNPWT) system and the single-use negative pressure wound therapy (PICO) system.

This study will gather preliminary clinical, health economic, and safety data on the treatment of chronic wounds with the ALLEVYN Life Non-Bordered dressing compared to standard of care treatment when used on a wound.

The purpose of this study, is to determine whether daily supplements of vitamin D improves wound healing in diabetic patients with chronic foot ulcers.

The primary objective of this study is to examine the feasibility of a Facebook group-based program to support adults with diabetes in their foot self-care and prevention of foot ulcers. The sub-objectives are: 1. To determine the recruitment and retention rate of participants in the study. 2. To assess the acceptability of the Facebook group program among participants. 3. To determine the level and pattern of engagement by the participants within the Facebook group platform. 4. To determine the efficacy of the Facebook group program and how it works to improve diabetic foot care-related outcomes.

The investigators want to evaluate the short duration HBOT can improve glycohemoglobin (HbA1c) levels, leukocyte count, and serum creatinine levels in patients with DFU (diabetic foot ulcer) Wagner 3-4.

The aim of this clinical investigation is to collect skin lesion area data for the comparison of the agreement among the results obtained between the following three wound area measurement methods: Ruler using the Kundin method, Investigational software Clinicgram Euclides Digital planimetry with Adobe Photoshop The clinical data retrieved in this study will allow the clinical validation of the safety and safety of the investigation software Clinicgram Euclides.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of a physician directed nurse managed earlier outpatient counselling intervention for patients with diabetic foot ulceration. For the purpose effectiveness is defined in two ways.1) as a reduction in hospital readmissions for complication for foot ulcers such as amputation or increased severity of the ulcer and 2) reduction in amputations, readmission rates. Selected covariates (self-efficacy,self-management, social support and depression) will be included to estimate predictors for readmission and amputation.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the EpiFix human amniotic membrane is effective in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.
