To report the possible role of S.B 8.4% in the treatment of COVID-19pneumonia.

The purpose of this prospective, Phase 2, multicenter, blinded, randomized placebo controlled study is to demonstrate that early treatment with mavrilimumab prevents progression of respiratory failure in patients with severe COVID-19 pneumonia and clinical and biological features of hyper-inflammation.

This pilot case-control study at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS), Sevagram, India is designed to evaluate the use of low dose radiotherapy (LDRT) in patients with moderate COVID-19 with specific objectives to abrogate the onset of cytokine storm and thus facilitate their early recovery and reduce mortality.

In this study, the utility of changes in the ratio of Ret-He and NLR as an early inflammation marker for VAP will be evaluated.

Lung ultrasonography has been used for diagnosis and treatment in many departments including intensive care before the pandemic. The gold standard method for the diagnosis of pneumonia is still chest tomography. Ultrasonography, which has advantages over tomography, has also been tried to be used in covid 19 pneumonia.

Many studies provide evidence for the benefit of lower respiratory tract surveillance, mostly by culture of endotracheal secretions, to predict bacterial pathogens (especially multi-drugs resistant pathogens) involved in VAP. The DEMETER study (NCT02515617) assessing the medico-economical impact of the subglottic secretions drainage (SSD) provides the opportunity to evaluate the accuracy of the subglottic secretions culture surveillance to predict pathogens involved in VAP (in comparison with the concomitant endotracheal secretions surveillance). These subglottic and tracheal secretions culture surveillance will be masked to the investigators of the DEMETER Study. This ancillary study will be performed in 14 centers participating to the DEMETER study

Acute respiratory infections are the fourth cause of hospitalization in elderly. Various studies have examined the impact of hospitalization in patients with respiratory pathology, showing the need of interventions in order to reduce the impact of hospitalization. The objective of this study is to examine whether a physical therapy intervention can reduce impairment in patients hospitalized due to pneumonia.

The main hypothesis are: Passive and Active-Passive airway conditioning devices reduce the incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia Active-Passive airway conditioning devices reduce the incidence of endotracheal tube obstruction Nurses' workload is reduced with Passive and Active-Passive airway conditioning devices

On the basis of 2 cases of immunologically-induced lung disease in 2 saxophonists, the investigators supposed that wind reed instruments could be contaminated with molds. The investigators led a study on 40 musicians playing a wind reed instrument to analyze instruments' fungal contamination and its immunological and clinical consequences for musicians.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of routine NSAIDs treatment for hospitalized children with pleuropneumonia in comparison with acetominophen treatment (all in conjunction with adequate antibiotic therapy).
