Seasonal Allergic RhinitisThis was a crossover study designed to see if patients with seasonal allergy symptoms preferred Clarinex® or Allegra®. Patients were randomized to take 7 days of Clarinex or Allegra treatment, followed by a 5 to 28-day washout period (days when no drug is given), followed by 7 days of the opposite treatment. At the end of each 7-day treatment, patients were asked questions to determine which drug, Clarinex or Allegra, the patient prefers more.
Probiotics and Health-related Quality of Life in Individuals With Seasonal Allergies
HealthyIn this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, participants with seasonal allergies will receive a daily probiotic or placebo for 8 weeks. Questionnaires will assess health-related quality of life, stress, physical activity, gastrointestinal symptoms, adverse events, and compliance. In a subset of subjects, stool and blood samples will be collected at baseline and at week 6 of the intervention (estimated to be peak allergy season) to characterize microbial communities and immune function.

Seasonal Allergic RhinitisThe objective of this study is to evaluate the clinical equivalence of the test formulation of mometasone furoate anhydrous 50 mcg/actuation nasal spray (manufactured by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Ltd. and distributed by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA) to the marketed formulation Nasonex® (mometasone furoate monohydrate) nasal spray, 50 mcg/actuation (Schering) in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis. In addition, the efficacy of both the test and reference nasal sprays will be compared to a placebo nasal spray and safety will be compared.
