Mediterranean Diet Versus Hypocaloric Diet in PCOS
Polycystic Ovary SyndromePolycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrinopathy of reproductive-aged women that manifests itself with chronic anovulation, hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance. Available guidelines recommend lifestyle intervention although they do not suggest the best dietetic regimen for the treatment of PCOS. Thus, the purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of two nutritional protocols, namely Mediterranean Diet and Hypocaloric Diet in PCOS women.
Endobarrier Treatment in Women With PCOS
Polycystic Ovary SyndromeWomen with Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) experience multiple fertility treatments, a long treatment duration and a low pregnancy prevalence. This syndrome is frequently accompanied by overweight and insulin resistance which can mediate the limited response to fertility treatment. The Endobarrier device was shown to be efficient in weight and glucose lowering. The aim of this study is to investigate the ability of the Endobarrier device to improve the outcome of fertility treatments in women with PCOS.
the Effect of Diane-35 Pretreatment on In-vitro Fertilization Outcome for Patients With Polycystic...
Polycystic Ovary SyndromePolycystic Ovary Syndrome is the most common endocrine disorder in women, is estimated to affect more than 5% of the population and is associated with chronically elevated serum androgen concentrations.Evidence suggests that polycystic ovary syndrome has a negative impact on pregnancy outcomes, with an increased risk of gestational diabetes, hypertensive disease during pregnancy, and preterm birth, which is partially related with the hyperandrogenic environment.Diane-35 has been proved to be the most effective anti-androgenic drug.At present, there is no direct evidence that Diane-35 has a positive effect on the clinical outcome of polycystic ovary syndrome patients undergoing In-vitro fertilization/Intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
Effects of Micronized Trans-resveratrol Treatment on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Patients
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)The purpose of this study is to determine whether micronized trans-resveratrol improves clinical (excessive hair, menstrual cycle), endocrine (androgens)and metabolic (lipids, markers of systemic inflammation) in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Gut Microbiome in Patients With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Polycystic Ovary SyndromeThe polycystic ovary syndrome is intimately associated with body weight and nutrition. The genomic era did not bring a breakthrough to the understanding of the syndrome. The recent surge of studies on gut microbiome has raised the possibility that the specific diet, which often affect these women favorably, would change their gut microbiome. Hence, the investigators will examine their gut microbial population in comparison to normal ovulatory women and then examine whether a low carbohydrate diet causes favorable change in their gut microbial population.
Auricular Acupressure (AA) For Overweight/Obese Adolescent and Young Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (...
Polycystic Ovary SyndromeThe purpose of this trial is to investigate the effect and safety of auricular acupressure on adolescent and young women with PCOS. Subjects will be randomly assigned in to two arms: Auricular acupressure arm and placebo auricular acupressure, both arms will be treated for three months. Body mass index, oral glucose tolerance test, hormonal profile and metabolic profile will be determined.
Effects of Drospirenone-ethinylestradiol and/or NOMAC-valerate Estradiol on Cardiovascular Risk...
Polycystic Ovary SyndromePolycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is often associated with pathological conditions, such as insulin resistance (IR), type 2 diabetes (DM2), obesity and it has potentially increased risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Of note, risk factors for CVD including dyslipidaemia, hypertension, oxidative stress and inflammation are associated with PCOS. The investigators want to evaluate the effects of two different types of E/P therapy on cardiovascular risk in PCOS.
Electroacupuncture on Menstrual Frequency in Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: Study Protocol...
Polycystic Ovary SyndromePolycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a dysfunction of endocrine system of women of reproductive age. Approximately 5%-10% women in China have this syndrome. Irregular menstruation (oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea), hirsutism and obesity are the common clinical manifestations of PCOS. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture in improving the menstrual frequency of PCOS patients who do not have fertility requirements.
Acupuncture for Oligomenorrhea Due to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Polycystic Ovary SyndromeOligomenorrheaThis study is an international multicenter, pilot randomized, assessor-blind, controlled trial, which is aimed to preliminarily investigate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture on oligomenorrhea due to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Comparing the Effect of Sitagliptin/Metformin and Metformin in PCOS Patients
Polycystic Ovary SyndromeInfertility1 moreInvestigators will evaluate and compare the efficacy of Sitagliptin/Metformin to metformin and sitagliptin on gdf9 and bmp15 gene expression on PCOS patients undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI).
