A Study of Danning Tablet in Patients With Polypoid Lesions of Gallbladder

Polyps Gallbladder

The primary goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effect of Danning Tablet on shrinkage of gallbladder polyps compared to lifestyle intervention in 336 patients with gallbladder polyps. The main questions it aims to answer are: Medicine may be effective on shrinkage of gallbladder polyps and alleviation of clinical symptoms of gallbladder polyps. Chinese patent medicine (herbal medicine) may be safety in treatment of gallbladder polyps.

Comparison of Immune Profiles in Chronic Rhinosinusitis Patients After Mepolizumab Treatment

Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal PolypsAsthma1 more

This study aims to analyze the immune profiles of patients with Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal polyps (CRSwNP) with and without asthma before and after Mepolizumab. A group of participants with CRS without nasal polyps (CRSsNP) with asthma will be included to compare their immune profiles to CRSwNP.

BIOlogics in Severe Nasal POlyposis SurvEy

Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal Polyps

With a prevalence of 2-4% in western countries, Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP) is of major concern regarding its substantial impact on the social and physical quality of life. So far, endoscopic sinus surgery remains the treatment of choice when the first line of medical treatment with corticosteroid has failed. During the last 15 years, several studies have shown that CRSwNP is associated with a T helper 2 (T2) immune response leading to B cell release of IgE, mucosal recruitment of eosinophils from bone marrow via Interleukin (IL)-5, IL-4 and IL-13 mediated chemoattractant production. New biologic agents capable of blocking T2 cytokines have been developed in the field of eosinophil-associated diseases, shifting the paradigm of treatment for patients with CRSwNP. In the near future, endotype profiling with accurate biomarkers will be mandatory to tailor the treatment of nasal polyposis with specific biologic therapies. Herein we propose a prospective study monitoring medical records of CRSwNP patients who undergo biologic treatments. The objectives are to assess treatment efficacy on quality of life, to report clinical and biological criteria for prescription and to measure tolerance and compliance.

French Colorectal ESD Cohort in Experts Centers

Cancer ColorectalPolyps Colorectal1 more

Initially developed in Japan for the treatment of endemic superficial gastric cancers, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) allows resection of pre-neoplastic and neoplastic lesions of the digestive tract into a single fragment. It allows a perfect pathological analysis, and decreases the rate of recurrence of the adenoma to less than 2%. However, this procedure, which is technically more challenging, is also more risky (perforation rate at 4% vs. 1% for WF-EMR) and longer. Submucosal dissection is also more expensive in terms of equipment, but this difference can be offset by the cost of the high number of iterative colonoscopies required in patients who have had endoscopic resection by WF-EMR. Scientific debate is agitating the Western world1,2 and Japanese experts do not perform WF-EMR anymore, whereas no comparative prospective study has compared these two procedures. A lot of centers in France performed colorectal ESD even for benign lesions and nationwide data about safety and efficiency is required to confirm the place of ESD for treatment of large superficial colorectal lesions.

CST1-Guided Oral Glucocorticoids Management for CRSwNP

Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal PolypsGlucocorticoids

Topical and systemic steroids constitute the first choice in medical treatment for nasal polyps. Glucocorticoids sensitivity is significantly correlated with CST1 in nasal secretions. The goal of this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial is to clarify the efficacy of a short course of CST1-guided oral glucocorticoids therapy for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. Subjects were randomized to receive either oral glucocorticoids or oral placebo for 2 weeks. Endoscopic polyp score, Total Nasal Symptom Score(TNSS), SNOT-22 score, Cystatin 1 and other biomarkers were evaluated before and after the treatment. Researchers will compare oral glucocorticoids group and oral placebo group to test CST1 predictive model of glucocorticoid therapy for Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Polyps.
