Post Operative Cognitive Dysfunction and Delirium After Spinal Surgery
Emergence DeliriumPost-Operative Cognitive DysfunctionAim of this trial is to define if Post-Operative Cognitive Dysfunction and Delirium, detected analyzing changes between pre-operative and post-operative Neurocognitive Test, relate to concentration of effector's site concentration of propofol and remifentanil TCI and to the common intraoperative neuromonitoring values.
MD2, Cystatin C and DNA Methylation Tags as Serum Biomarkers for POCD.
Postoperative Cognitive DysfunctionPostoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is a severe complication after surgery. Currently, a complicated battery of neuropsychological tests both before and after surgery with other characteristics-matched population as control are needed for the diagnosis of POCD. This diagnosis is also delayed, which could not be used to screen for high risk patients who may need intervention beforehand. The current trial targeted a surgical population of elderly patients undergoing cardiac surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), which is a population of the highest incidence of POCD, to screen for possible predictive or diagnostic biomarkers in the serum for POCD. Myeloid differentiation factor 2 (MD2), also known as lymphocyte antigen 96, is a protein involved in biding lipopolysaccharide with Toll like receptor-4 (TLR4). Recently the investigators have found that increased MD2 expression in the hippocampus of the mice after surgery stimuli. On the other hand, the investigators have reported that cystatin C (CysC) as an endogenous neuroprotective factor for stroke. It may also be involved in endogenous neural protection against POCD. This trial is to investigate whether serum MD2, CysC can be used for prediction and diagnosis of POCD in surgical population. Serum based DNA methylation biomarkers will also be tested for prediction or diagnosis of POCD development. Also in our orevious research, SNPs cites at rs6739405、rs12467815、rs12472215、rs11126727、rs11126731、rs993607 were revealed as possible susceptibility variations for POCD (diagnosed with MMSE only, NCT02084030) in patients undergoing CPB. This study will also test the SNP variations in study populations to varify if one or conbination of morethan one of these varuations can be a risk factor for POCD when diagonosed with NPT.
The Association Between Variation in Oxygen Saturation (ScO2) and Incidence of Postoperative Cognitive...
Cerebral SaturationCognitive Impairment1 moreThere is no study of the association between ScO2 and POCD in non-cardiac, thoracic or vascular surgery. The few studies found in cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery show an incidence up to 50% with a variation of the ScO2 threshold which varies between 15 and 25% according to the studies. Age is the main risk of OCDD. The management of this pathology should be early to avoid loss of autonomy of the patient. Finding a relationship, if it exists, would therefore significantly improve the mortality and morbidity of the said patient.

Postoperative Cognitive DysfunctionDeliriumThis study intends to evaluate the relationship between urinary albumin/creatinine ratio and postoperative neurocognitive impairment in elderly non-cardiac surgery patients. The results of the study are to identify risk factors, screen high-risk populations to improve clinical evidence, early detection and early treatment. And reducing the burden of PNCD on patients and their families, hospitals and public resources.

Correlations of Epigenetic Changes With POCD in Surgical Patients
Postoperative Cognitive DysfunctionPostoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is a subtle cognitive dysfunction, especially postoperative memory impairment lasting for weeks or months. The underlying pathophysiological mechanism of POCD remain unclear. The aim of this study is to explore the epigenetic changes during perioperative period and its correlation with POCD in surgical patients.

POCDThis study use Loewenstein cognitive function rating scale to meet the standards of the elderly cognitive function assessment. POCD diagnostic criteria used is the recommended value Z current international law, in order to reduce the effects of exercise, we selected 50 cases of patients with age-matched healthy control group as a spouse, the same scale testing. And Loewenstein Assessment Scale cognitive function after some domestic research proved to have good sensitivity, and easy to test small changes in cognitive ability. Before the investigation began strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, the use of simple intelligence scale exclude preoperative cognitive decline in the elderly significantly, the use of depression rating scale for anxiety rating scale before surgery to exclude severe depression and severe anxiety in elderly self self patient. Testing by the same person in the same way neurocognitive assessment test twice, 7 days apart. Exploration of Neuroimaging and Biochemical Prognostic Indicators for POCD
Postoperative Cognitive DysfunctionCognitive ImpairmentPostoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) may lead to serious consequences. But the underlying mechanisms are still unclear. Blood Oxygen Level Dependent (BOLD) fMRI and biochemical indicators will be used to explore the underlying mechanisms and represent a promising precursory target for diagnosis and treatment of POCD.

Postoperative Cognitive DysfunctionThe incidence of cognitive decline occurs in 53% of patients after cardiac surgery. Causes of POCD can be various: age, duration of cardiac bypass, medicaments and many others. The aim of this study is to determine factors causing postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) and to identify which of them are most important
