The Safety Assessment of Vedolizumab During Pregnancy in IBD Patient

Pregnancy Complications

The safety assessment of Vedolizumab during pregnancy in IBD patients. The primary objective of this study is: To quantify incidence of major structural birth defects and other birth outcomes in infants born to women with UC/CD with exposure to Entyvio compared to women with exposure to other biological agents or conventional IBD therapy during pregnancy To assess the health and developmental status of infants up to 1yr of age.

Fetal Growth and Pregnancy Complications Among Women With Heart Disease

Congenital Heart DiseasePregnancy Complications3 more

An increasing proportion of women with heart disease now go through pregnancy and childbirth. More knowledge about the risk of complications and adverse outcomes for the mother and the baby is needed to guide clinical care in this diverse patient group. The purpose of this study is to, in a cohort of pregnant women with heart disease; determine fetal growth, and risk of fetal growth restriction and preterm birth determine whether maternal blood biomarkers are associated with development of preeclampsia, the time of delivery and maternal and perinatal adverse outcomes determine the risk of hypertensive pregnancy complications The expected outcome of the project is to increase the knowledge of optimal diagnosis and treatment of women with heart disease that go through pregnancy to be able to improve clinical care and the outcomes for mother and baby.

Detection of Risk Factors for Fetal Anomalies in a Rural Hospital Population

PregnancyPregnancy Complications

The purpose of the study is to estimate the rate of risk factors for appearance of disease or fetal malformations in a population who turn to hospital "Hillel Yaffe" and examine whether there is a difference in the rate of early testing for diseases or birth defects in the fetus. Understanding the population and its risk factors, will allow specific reference to these risk factors to lowering them to eventually reduce the rate of congenital malformations in this population.

Cardiac Dysfunction and Remodeling in Patients With Preeclampsia

PreeclampsiaCardiovascular Risk Factor1 more

Preeclampsia (PE) is a pregnancy-related hypertensive disorder drive by an anti-angiogenic environment. Women with PE have 2-4 time higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD), although the specific mechanism relating these two conditions remains elusive. In non-pregnant patients with coronary disease, angiogenic profile proved to be an independent predictor of poor prognosis and is associated with a higher mortality rate. The investigators hypothesized that in PE, the antiangiogenic environment determines the degree of cardiac dysfunction and remodeling and the posterior cardiovascular risk.

International Lung UltraSound Analysis (ILUSA) Study

COVIDPregnancy Complications9 more

Currently there is a great need for an accurately and rapid assessment of patients suspected for Covid-19. Like CT, Lung Ultrasound (LUS) examination can potentially help with the initial triage of patients but also help track the evolution of the disease. LUS can be used in every setting, including settings with limited infrastructure, allowing the reduction of disparities in trials participation. LUS is also a practical approach that can be used by obstetricians/gynecologists, who are the primary care givers in the labour and delivery room. The International Lung UltraSound Analysis (ILUSA) Study is an international multicenter prospective explorative observational study to assess the predictive value of LUS in Covid-19 suspected and diagnosed pregnant patients.

IMproved PRegnancy Outcome by Early Detection

Pre-eclampsiaPregnancy3 more

The overall objective of the IMPROvED project is to develop a sensitive, specific, high-throughput and economically viable early pregnancy screening test for preeclampsia. This will involve a multicentre, phase IIa clinical predictive study to assess and refine novel and innovative prototype tests based on emerging metabolomic and proteomic technologies developed by SMEs (small to medium size enterprise) within the consortium. The study will i) recruit 5000 first-time pregnant women; ii) establish a high calibre biobank, augmented by accurate clinical metadata; iii) determine whether prototype predictive assays and algorithms translate to the clinical environment; iv) assess potential synergy of a combined metabolomic and proteomic approach and v) progress regulatory approval and development of the selected test into the clinical arena.
