Acupressure and Training for Coping With PMS

The study was conducted to determine the effect of acupressure and training, given to women under the guidance of health belief model for coping with premenstrual syndrome, on the premenstrual symptoms and quality of life. This study was conducted to as a randomized controlled trial. The population of the study was composed of all women with PMS registered in FHCs no. 4 and 14 located in the city center. The sample of the study consisted of women including 51 women in training +acupressure group, 55 women in training group and 57 women in control group. The data were collected with Participant Information Form, PMSS and WHOQOL-BREF in the study. Training and acupressure were administered to the acupressure + training group. Only the training for coping with premenstrual syndrome was given to the training group. The data collection forms were reapplied to all groups 12 weeks after the pretest.

Premenstrual Syndrome

The research was carried out to determine the effect of acupressure and mindfulness practice to cope with premenstrual syndrome on premenstrual symptoms and quality of life. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 270 students, 90 of which were acupressure, 90 mindfulness and 90 control groups. In the study, data were collected with the Participant Information Form, PMSS and WHOQOL-BREF. The acupressure group was asked to apply acupressure two days a week for 12 weeks, a total of 24 times. In the mindfulness group, 8 weeks of Conscious Awareness Stress Reduction Program was applied, after which the students were asked to practice mindfulness for 3 cycles. Students in both experimental groups were asked to stop the practices after acupressure and mindfulness practices. PMSS and WHOQOL-BREF were applied to both experimental and control groups as an intermediate test 12 weeks after the pre-test and a post-test 24 weeks later.

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of hydrogenated water on premenstrual symptoms and quality of life in students with premenstrual syndrome. Research Hypotheses H1 1 Hydrogenated water consumption reduces premenstrual symptoms in students with premenstrual syndrome. H1 2 Hydrogenated water consumption increases the quality of life in students with premenstrual syndrome. The research will consist of intervention and control groups. Individuals consuming hydrogen-rich water will be included in the intervention group, whereas individuals consuming normal water will be in the control group. The block randomization method will be used to randomly assign participants who meet the research criteria to the groups. Participants will be provided with hydrogenated water for three cycles.

The study is a randomized controlled trial, and women between the ages of 18-35 who meet the inclusion criteria will be included. Participant information form and premenstrual syndrome scale will be used in the research. There are two groups in the study as experimental (n=40) and control (n=40).

The Effect of Art on Premenstrual Syndrome Symptoms

This study will be conducted to determine the effect of art therapy techniques on premenstrual syndrome symptoms.The study is a randomized controlled type study. The study will be conducted with 70 female students with premenstrual syndrome. In the study, which consists of two groups, experimental (n=35) and control (n=35), art therapy techniques will be applied to the students in the experimental group for 8 weeks. The control group will continue their routine coping habits. Both groups will be evaluated with the Premenstrual Syndrome scale at the end of the study, and the difference between the groups will be examined.

The proposed study will focus on premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptom alleviation for women diagnosed as suffering from the syndrome with the DRSP questionnaire. The women will be treated with Homeopatic remedies. The improvement of PMS symptoms will be evaluated using the Daily Record of Severity of Problems questionnaire (DRSP). The questionnaire will be completed daily by women for 2 months prior to receiving the treatment and for 3 months following treatment with a single dose of the homeopathy treatment.

Different Does of Acupuncture on Premenstrual Syndrome Efficacy Analysis

Premenstrual Syndrome

The design of the study includes 3 groups for women with premenstrual syndrome, 1low dose acupuncture in the low-dose group, 2 high dose acupuncture in the high-dose group, and 3 the drug group (contraceptives) . Serum marker change of PGE2, CA125, E2, and progesterone in enrolled patients will be measured before and after treatment, along with VAS and MDQ questionnaires. The treatment efficacy of different groups and the relationship between PMS and patients TCM syndrome pattern will also be recorded and estimated.
