Evaluation of the Possible Relationship Between Periodontal Disease and Preterm Labor
Preterm LaborPeriodontal DiseaseThe primary objective of the study is to assess the incidence and severity of the periodontal infection of patients with preterm labor. The secondary objective of the study is to analyze the relationship between preterm labor and periodontal infection, using clinical, biochemical and microbiological methods.
Transabdominal Cervical Length Predict Preterm Labor During Routine Antenatal Screening
Preterm LaborSonographically, cervical length measurement is widely used in obstetrics. Studies have revealed that early detection of short cervix can be a predictor of predicting preterm labor. Transvaginal ultrasonography has been shown as a reference method for the recognition of the short cervix, as well as it may be useful in the transabdominal evaluation in the studies conducted. In addition to the advantages of transvaginal evaluation, it is time consuming and disadvantages of some women during anxiety and discomfort during this procedure. Transabdominal ultrasonography, which provides a non-invasive evaluation, is more preferred by some patients than transvaginal. The aim of this study is to investigate the value of the cervical length measured by transabdominal route, which is a more acceptable method for pregnant women, in predicting preterm birth.
Correlation Between Vitamin D and B Regulatory Cell in Pregnancy
LaborPrematureDuring pregnancy , the maternal immune system is always confronted with fetal alloantigens. the immunological mechanisms that prevent the rejection of the fetus are still not under understood.
Prediction of the Onset of Term and Preterm Labour
Preterm PregnancyPreterm Birth3 moreThis study will collect samples from pregnant women in order to identify biomarkers that relate to onset of spontaneous preterm labour.
Role of Serum Total Antioxidant Level in Preterm Labor
Preterm LaborThe aim of this study is to detect the association between maternal serum antioxidant level and preterm labor.
Preterm Labor Prediction by Cervical Contour in Ultrasound
Preterm LaborCervical length is a already known predictor for preterm labor. In this study the investigators want to examining the hypothesis that cervical curvature is also a predictor for preterm labor and that moderate transducer pressure influence cervical length. study population: 200 consecutive pregnant women between 14-34w, visiting in the ultrasound unit ether for routine screening or because of preterm labor. During their examination cervical length and curvature measurements will be taken. Another measurement will be taken after applying moderate cervical pressure. The investigators will compere cervical contour and pressure influence between groups and according to cervical length Demographic data will be taken at the time of recruitment and pregnancy outcome measures in a later telephone interview.
Correlation Between Maternal Vitamin D Level And Preterm Birth
Preterm BirthPreterm Labor1 moreAssessment of correlation between vitamin D level and prevalence of preterm births remains limited. The exact role of vitamin D in preterm birth has not yet been clearly defined ,where some studies showed vitamin D deficiency increased the risk of preterm birth while other studies found no correlation. In this study will try to continue research on this subject.
Uterocervical Angle and Preterm Labour
Preterm LaborTo determine whether a novel ultrasonographic marker, uterocervical angle, correlates with risk of spontaneous preterm birth
Prediction of Preterm Delivery With Serial Cervical Length Measurements After Threatened Preterm...
Preterm Labor With Preterm DeliveryProspective cohort study on pregnant women discharged from the hospital after the first episode of threatened preterm labor. Cervical length (CL) will be measured with transvaginal US upon initial presentation (i.e at the time of hospital admission), at the time of hospital discharge, and respectively 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks later. Pregnant women undelivered after the 1st episode of threatened preterm labor will be invited to participate in the study if CL upon discharge is < 25 mm. The study will investigate the potential association between cervical shortening over time and time of delivery, to assess if spontaneous preterm delivery can be predicted by CL.
PAR Family Polymorphisms and Placental Invasion Disorders
MiscarriageRecurrent1 moreThe present study will be undertaken to establish whether genetic variations of PAR1 could be involved in the occurrence of any of the "placental syndromes" of preterm delivery, preeclampsia, and/or small for gestational age babies and recurrent pregnancy loss.
