Treatment Response Assessment Maps to Delineate Necrosis From Tumor After Stereotactic Radiation...

Brain Tumor

This research study is investigating the value of an imaging study of the brain called an MRI (which stands for magnetic resonance imaging), utilized in unique way, to delineate whether the tumor has recurred or whether radiation changes have occurred after a brain metastasis treated with focused radiation has enlarged.

7T MRI Scan for the Early Detection of Melanoma Brain Metastases

Clinical Stage IV Cutaneous Melanoma AJCC v8Metastatic Malignant Neoplasm in the Brain2 more

This clinical trial studies the use of 7-Tesla (7T) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in detecting melanoma that has spread to the brain (melanoma brain metastases). The standard MRI brain imaging is done on 3T or similar MRI machine, but the 7T MRI machine has a larger magnet which has been shown to have superior resolution of the brain and of non-cancerous brain lesions. Diagnostic procedures such as 7T MRI may help find and diagnose melanoma brain metastases earlier than standard 3T MRI.

Cancer Genetic Testing in Ethnic Populations

Breast CarcinomaCarcinoma of Unknown Primary9 more

This clinical trial examines the integration of cancer genetic testing in various ethnic populations. Studying individuals and families at risk of cancer may help identify cancer genes and other persons at risk. The information from this study may provide an opportunity for cancer risk stratification and individualized screening in these ethnic populations.

Characterization of 18F-Fluciclovine PET Amino Acid Radiotracer in Resected Brain Metastasis

Brain MetastasesBrain Cancer

This study is for patients who have had surgery to remove brain metastasis and are planned to have stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) after their brain surgery. It will be optional for patients to have a pre-surgery 18F-Fluciclovine PET/CT scan. The goal of the study is to determine whether a specific imaging agent, known as 18F-Fluciclovine, will help physicians evaluate the extent of surgery and determine if there is any visible tumor above what MRI alone can identify as well as improve the physicians' ability to detect recurring disease. This agent (18F-Fluciclovine) is investigational for the imaging of brain metastases.

68Ga-RM26-RGD PET/CT Imaging in the GRPR and αvβ3 Positive Tumor Patients

Breast CancerProstate Cancer2 more

Based on the high expression of specific receptors on the surface of diseased tissues and neovascularization, noninvasive targeted molecular imaging can be used to visualize lesions in vitro by combining specific ligands labeled with short half-life isotopes. In this study, a novel dual-target imaging agent 68Ga-RM26-RGD was used for clinical study of tumor PET/CT imaging to further verify its clinical application value.

The Impact of Resistance ExerciSe on Muscle Mass in GlioblaSToma Survivors

Glioblastoma Multiforme of BrainBrain Cancer

Glioblastoma patients are confronted with a debilitating disease associated with a low survival rate and poor quality of life. The goal of this study will be to reach a largely underrepresented population in the exercise literature and explore the role of a tailored circuit-based resistance training program on functional fitness (i.e., ability to carry out tasks of daily living) and associated health outcomes (e.g., quality of life) for GBM patients on active treatment.

T-DXd Therapy for HER2-low Breast Cancer Patients With Brain Metastases

Breast CancerMetastatic Breast Cancer

TUXEDO-4 is an international, multicentric, single arm, phase II study aiming to gather additional solid evidence of Trastuzumab-Deruxtecan (T-DXd) activity in patients with Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)-low breast cancer with active brain metastases. This study will analyze the efficacy of T-DXd as determined by overall response rate (ORR) at any timepoint as judged by best CNS response according to RANO-BM criteria.
