Male Sexual Experience and Its Impact on Quality of Life Before and After Their Sexual Partners...
Sacral ColpopexyPelvic Organ ProlapseThe correction of the pelvic organ protrusion is aimed at restoring the pelvic floor functional status and ultimately improving the patient's quality of life. There are a few studies that have explored the effect of pelvic reconstructive surgery on female sexual function (1,2) but no studies have evaluated the male partner's sexual experience. The investigators intend to use a newly psychometrically validated questionnaire to capture this aspect. The sexual experience questionnaire (SEX-Q) is the first questionnaire to solely and exclusively combine functional and quality of life concepts (erection, individual satisfaction, and couple satisfaction domains) in a brief questionnaire, which allows a more focused and less burdensome evaluation of the sexual experience in men (3). Another issue is the density of the mesh material and if it can be felt vaginally even if it is not eroded and to what degree this might bother the male partner during intercourse.

Pelvic Organ ProlapseStress Urinary Incontinence1 moreTo evaluate how patient knowledge and confidence in decision making can be impacted by shared decision making in common urogynecology conditions.
Evaluation of the Benefits of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Protocol in Pelvic Prolapse...
Urinary IncontinencePelvic Organ ProlapseERAS protocols have been shown to improve recovery in terms of reduced pain, shortened time to ambulation and length of hospital stay. This study aims to investigate the impact of ERAS protocol on time to mobilization and length of hospital stay in patients undergoing surgery for urinary incontinence and pelvic prolapse.
Vaginal Prolapse Surgery Accompanied by Mid Urethral Sling Versus no Sling for Reduction of Postoperative...
Stress Urinary IncontinenceVaginal Hysterectomy1 morePrevalence of pelvic organ prolapsed is high in Nepal. After prolapse surgery many patients are affected with incontinence. Incontinence has physical, social and mental effect to the individual. This study is designed to know the role for mid urethral sling during vaginal prolapse surgery to decrease the rate of incontinence after the surgery.

Prolapse; FemaleCost-effectiveness, safety, outcomes and diagnostic development in advanced apical female genital prolapse reconstructive surgery by vaginal and robotic-assisted mesh surgery. A multicenter, prospective, parallel, cohort, comparative study between the vaginal and robotic-assisted mesh surgery including 200 patients.
Three-dimensional Ultrasound Assessment in Cases of Prolapse Surgeries
Pelvic Organ ProlapseThe levator ani muscle seems to play a key role in pelvic floor dysfunction. This muscle has two major components, the pubovisceral (including the pubococcygeus and puborectalis muscles) and the iliococcygeal muscles.Major levator ani defects are associated with pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and POP recurrence
The Role of 5-Fluorouracil in Post-Operative Scar Formation Following Direct Brow Ptosis Repair...
Brow PtosisFacial ScarringThis is a double (physician and patient) blinded randomized controlled clinical trial in which patients who have undergone bilateral direct brow ptosis repair undergo a trial in which one of brow is injected with placebo 0.9% Normal Saline and the contra-lateral brow is injected with 0.3-0.6 mL over the entire brow of 50mg/mL 5-Fluorouracil sub-dermal injections. The researchers aim to investigate whether injecting 5-Fluorouracil preemptively will not only accelerate wound healing and decrease hypertrophic scar formation compared to placebo, but also improve overall scar appearance in a safe manner.

Video Decision Aid in Latina Women With Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Pelvic Organ ProlapsePelvic organ prolapse (POP) is a highly prevalent condition among women that impairs quality of life, daily activities and sexual function. Latina women are disproportionally affected, with significantly higher rates of POP compared to women of other ethnicities. Decision aids have been used to increase patient knowledge prior to physician intervention and to facilitate informed patient participation on treatment selection. The investigators hypothesize that the use of a video decision aid prior to initial Urogynecology specialist evaluation of Latina women with POP in a border region university-affiliated medical clinic, will increase patient knowledge regarding the condition, decrease decisional conflict regarding selection among different treatment options and increase patient satisfaction with selected treatment.
Intra-operative Adverse Events During Laparoscopic Ventral Mesh Rectopexy
Rectal ProlapseOutcomes of laparoscopic ventral mesh rectopexy are well known, but data on intra-operative adverse events is scant. A multicenter pool-analysis of prospectively collected database on 1384 patients with internal/external rectal prolapse toke place. Overall 72 (5%) patients experienced complications, 41 discovered and managed intraoperatively, 22 postoperative complications, and 9 required readmission. Despite accepted lower rate of morbidity, these results come from four well equipped European centers by four surgeons practiced at least 200 LVMR.
