The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical value of 68Ga-GRP positron emission tomography / computed tomography (PET/CT) compared to 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT in patients with low and intermediate risk PCa.

Ga-68 PSMA-11 PET/CT is known as useful method for localizing recurred tumor lesions in prostate cancer patients with biochemical recurrence [elevated serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) after radical prostatectomy]. The recent digital PET/CT which is known to show better resolution and sensitivity than analogue PET/CT may have better performance for detecting early small recurred tumor lesions. This study is intended to compare the diagnostic performance (detection rate and positive predictive value) of Ga-68 PSMA-11 PET/CT using analogue PET/CT scanner and digital PET/CT scanner in same patients who had biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer.

Personalizing Docetaxel Dosing in Advanced Prostate Cancer

Patients with advanced prostate cancer are often treated with the chemotherapy drug docetaxel. The manufacturers of this drug suggest using the same dose of drug per m² body surface area for all patients. However we know that individuals end up with more or less of the drug circulating in their blood even after they have been given the same dose. A software program (a "Dosing Tool") has been developed to provide information to doctors on how docetaxel will affect individual patients. The program may help doctors to make informed decisions about exactly how much drug to give to different people. The purpose of the PARTNER study is to gather information from blood tests on patients being treated with docetaxel to help in the further development of the Dosing Tool. Some of these blood tests would have been taken anyway as part of patients' routine treatment. Others are extra for this study. Apart from the additional blood tests, everyone who enters the study is treated just as they would normally be if they were not taking part in the study.

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among man and the fourth most occurring over all . Characterization and management of the diagnosed prostate cancer is a challenging task due to its clinically and morphologically diversity. Clinically, this cancer range from indolent growing slowly malignancy, which does not threatened the patient life, to aggressive tumor that metastasize rapidly with very bad prognosis. Therapy of prostate cancer ranges from a "watch and wait" approach to hormone deprivation therapy to aggressive surgical, radiation, and cryosurgical therapies depending on the cancer characteristics. Prostate cancer is diagnosed using digital rectal examination, serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing and transrectal ultrasonography (US)-guided biopsies . Imaging technologies have been adapted as a non-invasive method to obtain a comprehensive assessment of the disease. MRI is widely used and more specifically multiparameter MRI (mMRI) for detection, staging and tumor localization. mMRI uses multiphase modes including diffusion-weighted and dynamic contrast-enhanced imaging in addition to T2-weighted imaging to identify and classify cancer type . Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) is MRI technique that allow detection of tissue metabolic composition which is occasionally used to characterize prostate cancer, however is not used as a standard procedure. By suppression of water and fat signal, MRS sequence can detect relationship between lower concentration prostatic metabolites such as citrate, choline, creatine, and polyamines in the cell cytosol and in the extra cellular ducts. Other imaging modalities used to characterize prostate cancer include ultrasound (US), computerized tomography (CT), functional imaging like bone scanning (BS) and hybrid imaging like choline based positron emission tomography and CT (PET/CT). However all of these modalities show disappointing sensitivity .

The Be-RALP database is Belgian prospective multicenter database governed by the Belgian cancer registry. This database investigates the status after robot assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) in prostate cancer patients. It was established by a collaboration between the Belgian association of Urology (BAU), the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (NIHDI) and the Belgian cancer registry. Between 2009 and 2016, 9235 patients were included in this patient registry. The studied outcomes covered quality of life measures as well as variables covering urinary and erectile function.
