This was a multicenter, prospective, 5-year surveillance study of approximately 5000 Raptiva-treated patients and approximately 500 non-Raptiva treated patients (formerly 2500 comparison patients who were treated with a biologic therapy other than Raptiva) with chronic moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who were candidates for treatment with Raptiva.

Spongiotic dermatitis is the histopathologic diagnosis commonly issued by dermatopathologists that encompasses atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and other forms of eczematous dermatitis. The information obtained will assist in development of diagnostic methods for differentiation of the types of spongiotic dermatitis. This study also has the potential to lead to the dissection of pathologic pathways involved in these diseases and development of novel therapeutic agents.

T Cell Repertoire Analysis of Immune Mediated Skin Diseases

This study is designed to identify the cells of the immune system that cause skin disease such as psoriasis and mycosis fungoides. Blood samples from many patients will be compared in hopes of finding common cells and molecules responsible for skin diseases. Results of this study will increase our knowledge about immune mediated skin disease.

Comparison of Scalp Microbiota of the Psoriasis and Seborrheic Dermatitis Patients

A sterile swap specimen taken from the scalp of the patients with psoriasis vulgaris or seborrheic dermatitis and the volunteer control group will be examined in our study. The examples of the microbiota of the patients will be taken both the lesional scalp and the lesion-free part of the scalp. Then, the microbiota differences between the lesioned scalp and the lesion-free scalp of both groups, and the microbiome differences between the two groups and the control group will be evaluated.

Psoriasis Vulgaris is a chronic, recurrent, inflammatory and hyperproliferative skin disease. Joint involvement is common along with skin involvement. However, metabolic diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases can be accompanied by many systemic diseases, chronic and repetitive due to the quality of life and psychological status of patients can affect. For this reason, patients carry out various research on their diseases on social media and follow programs on these issues in other media such as television and radio. However, there is no study on how much patients are interested in these publications, how much they trust them, and how they reach and organize information via social media. The aim of the study will be to clarify how and how patients with Psoriasis Vulgaris use social media to obtain information about the diagnosis and treatment of their disease, the interaction of patient groups with each other, and how often social media is used, especially in which group of patients.
