Switch to Genvoya Followed by HCV Therapy With Epclusa Followed by Simplification of HIV Therapy...

HIV-1-infectionHepatitis C9 more

The study hypothesis is to determine the feasibility of switching HIV-HCV co-infected patients receiving methadone or buprenorphine/naloxone as opioid substitution therapy with suppressed HIV RNA viral load on current antiretroviral therapy to elvitegravir/cobicistat/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (E/C/F/TAF, Genvoya™) followed by 12 weeks of HCV antiviral therapy with sofosbuvir/velpatasvir (SOF/VEL, Epclusa™), followed then by switch to bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (B/F/TAF, Biktarvy™) for an additional 48 weeks.

Hepatitis CChronic

Phase II: Exploring the efficacy and safety of different doses of SH229 tablets combined with fixed-dose Daclatasvi dihydrochloride (DCV) tablets in the treatment of adult patients with chronic hepatitis C for 12 weeks, providing a basis for the design and implementation of phase III clinical trials. Phase III: Confirmation of the efficacy and safety of SH229 tablets combined with Daclatasvi dihydrochloride (DCV) tablets in the treatment of adult patients with chronic hepatitis C for 12 weeks, providing a sufficient basis for drug registration and clinical use.

Leptin and Liver Enzymes Responses to Aerobic Training in Hepatitis c Patients

Hepatitis C

Exercise is one of the most vital components of health maintenance. Exercising regularly maintains the cardiovascular system health, promotes the health of liver, and declines the risks of complications induced by CHCV. Since overweight is the main risk factor for IR and type 2 DM which may speed the liver disease progression among HCV patients, exercise is very important for maintenance and loss of weight. Further, exercise can relieve the side effects of medications of HCV, improve immunity, promote a sense of well-being, reduce levels of chronic fatigue, improve blood oxygen levels and increase the endorphins excretion which makes the patients fully energized (Elgendi, Shebl A, Sliem M, and Gary FA, 2018). Studies on exercise effect in patients with CHCV are quite scarce (de Sousa Fernandes et al., 2019). Decreased leptin levels by exercise positively modulate insulin signaling and inhibit pathology progression (Anaruma et al., 2019). Since studies investigated physical activity effect on regulating HCV related leptin levels are very little, the present study aimed to explore the response of serum leptin and liver enzymes to aerobic exercise in nondiabetic overweight men with CHCV.

3-Year Observational Virology Follow-up Study in Subjects Who Participated in Studies of Idenix...

Hepatitis C

All subjects in this study have previously been in an Idenix HCV study and received study drug for 3 consecutive days. Subjects who had received placebo in a previous Idenix study will not be enrolled in this study. In this study, researchers will try to find answers to these questions: How much (if any) hepatitis C virus is in your blood after stopping your Idenix study drug? Is your hepatitis C virus possibly resistant to treatment with the Idenix study drug or similar drugs?

Miravirsen Study in Null Responder to Pegylated Interferon Alpha Plus Ribavirin Subjects With Chronic...

Hepatitis C

The purpose of this open-label study is to assess the safety, antiviral activity, and pharmacokinetics of 9 subcutaneous injections of miravirsen monotherapy (5 weekly doses over 5 weeks, followed by a further 4 doses once every other week over 7 weeks) over a total of 12 weeks of treatment. The subjects enrolled in this study are chronically infected with HCV genotype 1 and are null responders to treatment with peg IFNα/RBV therapy.

A Pilot Study to Treat Patients With Chronic Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Genotype 1 and End-Stage Renal...

Chronic Hepatitis CEnd Stage Renal Disease

A maximally tolerated dose of ribavirin can be defined in each patient with ESRD undergoing hemodialysis. Patients with Chronic Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)and End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)undergoing hemodialysis will be able to tolerate and remain on treatment with peginterferon alfa-2b, the maximally tolerated dose of ribavirin and boceprevir. A significant percentage of patients with chronic HCV and ESRD undergoing hemodialysis can achieve rapid virologic response (RVR), extended virologic response (eRVR) and sustained virologic response (SVR) when treated with peginterferon alfa-2b, the maximally tolerated dose of ribavirin and boceprevir.

Hepatitis C in Renal Transplant Recipients

Chronic Hepatitis C-virus InfectionRenal Transplantation

The aim of the present trial is to evaluate whether the conversion of immunosuppression from tacrolimus to cyclosporine A induces changes in (i) hepatitis C-virus load, (ii) parameters of hepatic function and (iii) parameters of glucose tolerance in hepatitis C-positive renal transplant recipients.

Lopinavir/Ritonavir Monotherapy Versus Standard Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) in...

HIV InfectionsHepatitis C

The purpose of this study is to evaluate if the combination of Lpv/r monotherapy and anti-HCV drugs does not match with additional toxicity induced by the association of HAART and Peg-IFN + ritonavir in patients naive for HIV and HCV. Secondary objective is to assess if Lpv/r monotherapy during HCV-treatment is associated with HIV efficacy vs optimized HAART.
