Phase I-II Vaccination of Autologous Dendritic Cells Transduced With Adenoviral Vector Encoding...
Hepatitis CChronicDendritic cells (DC) play a central role in the activation of T-cell responses and have shown to be very immunogenic in preclinical in vivo and in vitro assays. The aims of this study is to assess the efficacy of therapeutic vaccination pilot clinical trial in Genotype 1 HCV patients using autologous DC transduced with a recombinant adenovirus encoding NS3

Safety Study of the Aethlon Hemopurifier
End Stage Renal DiseaseHepatitis C InfectionPrimary Objectives: To demonstrate the safety of the Aethlon Hemopurifier® when used in extracorporeal blood purification. Secondary Objectives: To quantify the number of viral copies captured by the Aethlon Hemopurifier® during the first and last Hemopurifier treatments using elution methods developed by Aethlon Medical Inc. To measure changes in viral load in patients before and after treatment with the Aethlon Hemopurifier®.

Alisporivir With PEG and RBV in Protease Inhibitor (PI) Treatment Failure Patients With Chronic...
Hepatitis CThis study is to evaluate the overall efficacy, and safety profile of the triple combination therapy of alisporivir (ALV; DEB025) plus peginterferon alfa-2a (PEG) and ribavirin (RBV) patients with chronic hepatitis C (HCV) genotype 1 who failed prior treatment with a protease inhibitor (PI).

A Study to Evaluate the Safety, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of MK-8325 in Hepatitis C-Infected...
Hepatitis CChronicThis study is being done to assess the safety, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of MK-8325 in male hepatitis C virus (HCV)-infected participants. There will be 3 parts to this study. Part I will enroll only genotype 1 (GT1) HCV patients, Part II will enroll only genotype 3 (GT3) HCV-infected participants, and Part III will enroll only GT1a HCV-infected participants. All parts may run concurrently, or may be staggered as needed by the clinical sites.

Viral Kinetic Study With Viramidine in Therapy-Naive Patients With Chronic Hepatitis C
Hepatitis CChronicThe purpose of this study is to examine the rapid virologic response (RVR) at combination therapy (CT) Week 4 between groups receiving a standard combination peginterferon alfa-2b/viramidine dosing regimen versus a cohort that receives 4 weeks of viramidine monotherapy prior to the start of peginterferon alfa-2b/viramidine combination therapy.

Peg-Intron and Rebetol Therapy in Treatment of Naive Hepatitis C Patients: A Comparison of Race...
Hepatitis CChronicThis is a multicenter clinical trial designed to compare the efficacy of 48 weeks of therapy with pegylated (PEG)-Interferon/ribavirin in Southeastern Asian patients with genotype 1 chronic hepatitis C with 48 weeks of therapy with PEG-Interferon/ribavirin in Caucasian patients with genotype 1 chronic hepatitis C. This study is also designed to provide a randomized comparison of 24 weeks versus 48 weeks of therapy with PEG-Interferon/ribavirin in Southeastern Asian patients with genotypes 6-9. The primary endpoint is sustained virologic response, as defined by negative hepatitis C virus (HCV) ribonucleic acid (RNA) in serum at 24 weeks after therapy completion.

Efficacy and Safety of Pentoxyphilline and Tocopherol on the Fibrosis in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis...
Hepatitis CChronic1 moreThe fibrosis of liver is a complication of chronic hepatitis C. There is actually no established treatment for fibrosis of the liver. Pentoxyphilline and tocopherol may have an activity on fibrosis. The aim of the study is to analyse the efficacy and the safety of the combination with pentoxyphilline and tocopherol (12 months) on liver fibrosis, in patients with chronic hepatitis C, who are non-long-term responders, or with intolerance or contra-indication to interferon-alfa and ribavirin.

12 Weeks of Ledipasvir (LDV)/Sofosbuvir (SOF) With Weight-based Ribavirin vs. 24 Weeks of LDV/SOF...
HIV-1 InfectionHepatitis CPeople who are infected with Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) have a great chance of being cured of the infection when they are treated with sofosbuvir. However, in some instances, treatment with sofosbuvir-containing therapy does not work. It is not known if people respond to retreatment with sofosbuvir, after it did not work the first time. There is an important need to understand retreatment options in those instances. This clinical trial was done to study the response to two different regimens, ledipasvir/sofosbuvir and ledipasvir/sofosbuvir with ribavirin, and to see if they are safe and well-tolerated in HCV-infected persons whose previous treatment with sofosbuvir had failed.

Inhibition of Disease Progression in Hepatitis C-infected Patients With Compensated Liver Cirrhosis...
Hepatitis CChronic1 moreThe objective of the study is to evaluate the superiority of treatment with PegIntron and Rebetol over no antiviral therapy (control group) in subjects with chronic hepatitis C and type C compensated cirrhosis. Subjects will be randomized in a ratio of 2:1 (Treatment Arm to Control Arm). Subjects in the Treatment Arm will receive combination therapy with PegIntron and Rebetol for 48 weeks; then will enter a 24-week post-treatment Follow-up. Subjects who have detectable Hepatitis C Virus-RNA at Treatment Week 24 will discontinue treatment and enter Follow-up.

Liver Transplantation in Patients With Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus...
HIV InfectionsHepatitis CTo show the feasibility of liver transplantation in HCV-HIV coinfected patients. To study the two-year survival after transplantation, the interaction between HCV and HIV after transplantation, the influence of HIV on HCV recurrence after transplantation, the interaction between immunosuppressive and antiretroviral drugs in particular anti-proteases, immunological follow-up and quality of life of these patients
