A Dose Escalation Study to Evaluate the Effect of RT234 in Subjects With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension...

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

This multicenter, open label, Phase 2a study is designed to evaluate the effect of inhaled RT234 delivered in a dose escalation manner on the change in pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) in subjects with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) undergoing Right heart catheterization (RHC). This study is also known as Vardenafil Inhaled for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension PRN Phase 2a (VIPAH-PRN 2a) study

Efficacy Study of Ambrisentan in Chinese Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH)

Vascular Disease

This open label, single-arm, non-controlled, multicentre study will determine the effect of ambrisentan on exercise capacity (6MWT) in Chinese subjects with PAH. The study consists of a screening period of 4 weeks, a 12-week primary evaluation period (PEP) and a 12-week dose-adjustment period (DAP). Ambrisentan 5 mg will be administered to eligible subjects for 12 weeks (PEP).

Long-term Safety and Efficacy of Ralinepag in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

This study was an open-label extension study to determine the long-term safety and tolerability of ralinepag in subjects with World Health Organization (WHO) Group 1 pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) who have completed Study APD811-003, or who were assigned to receive placebo and were discontinued due to clinical worsening.

Anastrozole in Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

The main purpose of this clinical trial is to study the safety and efficacy of anastrozole in adults diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The study will evaluate how well the drug is tolerated. The study will also evaluate if anastrozole effects estradiol (E2) hormone levels, a sex hormone, and improves the function of the lower right chamber of the heart (right ventricle).

A Bioavailability Study Comparing Treprostinil Diethanolamine Oral Tablets and Oral Solution in...

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

This single center, open label, randomized, two-period, two-sequence cross-over study is designed to evaluate the relative bioavailability of a treprostinil diethanolamine 1 mg tablet in reference to treprostinil diethanolamine 1 mg oral solution (administered as four 0.25 mg doses every 2 hours for a 1 mg total dose) in twenty-four healthy volunteers. Other secondary outcomes of interest include assessment of pharmacokinetic parameters of treprostinil diethanolamine 1 mg tablets and a treprostinil diethanolamine 1 mg oral solution administered as four doses (0.25 mg every 2 hours for a 1 mg total dose) and evaluation of the safety and tolerability of each treatment regimen.

Clinical Study of Macitentan in Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension to Psychometrically...

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

SYMPHONY is prospective, multi-center, open-label, single-arm, Phase 3b psychometric validation study of the PAH-SYMPACT, a new quality of life questionnaire for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Patients will be in the study for 5 1/2 months, 4 months of which they will receive macitentan, 10 mg, once daily. The primary objectives are to demonstrate the final content validity of the PAH SYMPACT instrument, to demonstrate the psychometric characteristics of reliability and construct validity of the PAH-SYMPACT instrument, and to demonstrate the ability of the PAH SYMPACT instrument to detect change. The secondary objective is to assess the safety of macitentan in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. The exploratory objective is to explore the effects of macitentan on PAH symptoms and their impact (as measured by the PAH-SYMPACT) in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Epoprostenol for Injection (EFI/ACT-385781A) - Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

This study is investigating the effect of switching from Flolan® to Epoprostenol for Injection (EFI/ACT-385781A) in pulmonary arterial hypertension patients currently treated with Flolan®. For this purpose patients being treated for at least 12 months with Flolan® will be switched from Flolan® to EFI/ACT-385781A and followed-up for 90 days. During these 90 days safety and tolerability of EFI/ACT-385781A will closely be monitored in all treated patients. This 90 follow-up will provide clinical evidence on the safety, tolerability, efficacy and treatment satisfaction of switching from Flolan® to EFI/ACT-385781A in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.

The Efficacy and Safety of Initial Triple Versus Initial Dual Oral Combination Therapy in Patients...

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

The objective of this clinical trial is to compare the efficacy and safety of an initial triple oral treatment regimen (macitentan, tadalafil, selexipag) versus an initial dual oral treatment regimen (macitentan, tadalafil, placebo) in newly diagnosed, treatment-naïve patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.

A Mobile Health Intervention in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionIdiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension2 more

This study proposes the use of a mobile health intervention (utilizing a smart phone app) to encourage increased exercise in PAH patients. The study will be a randomized trial to examine feasibility of an mHealth (mobile device) Fitbit Charge HR and cell phone application intervention to improve step counts and increase participants activity level as compared to no intervention. The Fitbit Charge Heart Rate (HR) monitors activity and the cell phone application provides encouragement notifications to half the subjects while the other half do not receive encouragements.
