Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by nonreversible airway obstruction. A diagnosis of COPD is determined by clinical assessment of airflow limitation and symptoms such as cough and wheeze; however, the detrimental effect of COPD symptoms on a patient's quality of life is often underestimated. Rehabilitation exercise can lessen the possibility of the progressive exacerbation of the patient's condition, exerting an active role in improving their lung function and the quality of the patients' life .Therefore, Active cycle breathing techniques (ACBT) is a cycle of techniques consisting of breathing control, lower thoracic expansion exercises and the forced expiration technique modifiable for every patient to reduce condition . The effect of ELTGOL on mucus clearance of right and left lungs, especially of peripheral lung areas, in stable patients with COPD . A couple of relaxed breaths and when you are ready go on to your huff. Repeat the huff two or three times until you have the urge to cough. Once you have cleared your chest have a few normal relaxed breaths and start the cycle over again with deep breaths and huffs. A Randomized clinical trial, subjects with age group between 4O-70 years. In Group -A subjects (n=15) were treated with Active Cycle of Breathing Technique where Group-B subjects (n=15) received ELTGOL training . This study is to compare the effectiveness of ACBT and ELTGOL on improving the Quality Of Life and increasing Functional Capacity in subjects with COPD . Assessment will be done before and after intervention and result will be analyzed using statistical package for social sciences SPSS 20.

This is a Phase 1b, single center study designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of GSK3923868 following repeat doses in mild asthmatics during experimental human rhinovirus 16 (HRV-16) infection. The study will be conducted in two parts. Part A will determine the efficacy of GSK3923868 administration after viral inoculation (i.e., therapeutic treatment) and Part B may be undertaken to determine the efficacy of GSK3923868 administration before viral inoculation (i.e., prophylactic treatment). The purpose of this study is to establish proof-of-mechanism that GSK3923868 treatment can reduce symptoms of Human Rhinovirus (HRV) infection in a controlled setting.

PAL to Improve Oral Feeding for Infants With Chronic Lung Disease

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the Pacifier Activated Lullaby (PAL) intervention on the transition to oral feeding for preterm infants with chronic lung disease and respiratory distress syndrome that require non-invasive respiratory support at 34 weeks PMA. This study will utilize a clinical trial design. Participants will be randomized into two groups. One group will receive the PAL intervention, the other group serving as a no contact control. Participants will be matched based on sex, gestational age at birth, and neurologic injury. Infants in the intervention group will receive two PAL sessions a week until successfully transitioned to <2L of respiratory support and then receive one PAL session within 24 hours of their first oral feeding attempt.

There is preliminary data that tofacitinib may have a beneficial effect in treating RA-ILD. Tofacitinib may have a double role in treating RA-ILD: treat RA disease activity and an anti-fibrotic possible impact. Moreover, tofacitinib may be used as monotherapy for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) This is a phase IIa clinical trial to evaluate the safety and tolerability of tofacitinib in RA-ILD patients.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

The purpose of this Phase III study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tozorakimab Dose 1 and Dose 2 administered subcutaneously (SC) in adult participants with symptomatic COPD and history of ≥ 2 moderate or ≥ 1 severe exacerbation of COPD in the previous 12 months. Participants should be receiving optimised treatment with maintenance inhaled therapy (ICS/LABA/LAMA triple therapy, or dual therapy if triple is not considered appropriate) in stable doses throughout at least 3 months prior to enrolment.
