Microarray Analysis of Gene Expression in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)
Pulmonary FibrosisThis study is investigating the way the lung is damaged in a condition called pulmonary fibrosis. Research studies will be conducted on lung tissue obtained from an open lung biopsy performed by the subject's surgeon. The identification of unique genetic markers of scarred lung may ultimately lead to new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis.
Digital Auscultation Test - IPF Data Collection
Idiopathic Pulmonary FibrosisThe aim of this study is the data collection for patients with IPF and symptom matched controls to create a database of lung auscultation sounds and basic patient characteristics.
NICEFIT-ON: A Study Under Routine Clinical Practice in Taiwan to Observe the Long-term Outcome of...
Idiopathic Pulmonary FibrosisTo better understand the clinical characteristics of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) / Systemic Sclerosis-associated-Interstitial Lung Disease (SSc-ILD)/ Progressive Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Disease (PF-ILD) patients treated with nintedanib and biomarkers associated with the disease course, a non-interventional, 3-year, prospective study will be conducted to collect the long-term real-world clinical data on IPF/SSc-ILD/PF-ILD patients newly administered with nintedanib in Taiwan

Post COVID-19 Interstitial Lung Disease: A Study of Genetic and Environmental Interactions
Pulmonary FibrosisCOVID-19 PneumoniaThis study aims to understand why some people who have had COVID-19 develop scarring of the lungs and why some people recover more quickly than others.
The Effect of Lt to Rt Shunt Using Veno-veno-arterial Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)...
Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis ARDSCOPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)4 moreECMO(Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) is being essential for cardiopulmonary failure patients. There are two types of ECMO, which is veno-veno (V-V) that can be used in respiratory failure patients and veno-arterial (V-A) that can be used in cardiac failure patients. V-A ECMO can also be used during lung transplantation, substitution of cardiopulmonary bypass, which can show sufficient performance during operation and better postoperative outcome. However, regarding V-A ECMO circulating from femoral vein to femoral artery, there is a pro blem of differential hypoxia which might influence coronary artery and head vessels. In this prospective study, the investigators are planning to put another ECMO catheter into internal jugular vein which takes a role of left to right shunt, to mitigate the hypoxia of coronary artery.
Gene Modifiers of Cystic Fibrosis Lung Disease
Cystic FibrosisLung DiseasesThe purpose of this study is to examine genetic modifiers of the severity of cystic fibrosis lung disease.
Efficacy and Safety of Oral Bosentan in Pulmonary Fibrosis Associated With Scleroderma
Pulmonary FibrosisScleroderma1 moreClinical and experimental studies suggest that bosentan could delay the progression of interstitial lung disease (ILD) associated with systemic sclerosis (SSc), a condition for which no established efficacious treatment is available. The present trial investigates a possible use of oral bosentan, which is currently approved for the treatment of symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) WHO Class III and IV, to a new category of patients suffering from ILD associated with SSc.
