Six-Minute Walk Test in Patients at High Risk for Complications From Lung Resection

Lung Cancer

The goal of this clinical research study is to compare the 6-minute walk test with the exercise stress test, in patients who may have lung surgery. Researchers want to find out if the 6-minute walk test is as good as the exercise stress test at predicting possible complications that may occur after lung surgery.

Hypercoagulable Parameters as Predictors of Thrombotic Events and Prognosis in Patients With Advanced...

Non-Small Cell Lung CarcinomaVenous Thromboembolism

The association between cancer and thrombosis is well known and the occurrence of thrombotic complications is commonly associated with poor prognosis. The aim os this study is to determine the possible value of hypercoagulable parameters as prognostic parameters in advanced non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC).

Differentiation of Malig. & Ben. Solitary Pulm. Nodules & Prediction of Clin. Outcome Using Perfus....

Lung Neoplasms

The purpose of our study is to determine whether contrast-enhanced dynamic MRI (DCE MRI) analysis of tumor angiogenesis and perfusion can be used as a reliable modality to differentiate benign from malignant solitary pulmonary nodules (SPN) before surgical intervention, using kinetic model derived from DCE MRI, and further correlate if there is any positive correlation between angiogenesis factor (vascular endothelial growth factor VEGF, microvessel density MVD); and if the perfusion parameters from DCE MRI can predict patients' outcomes and survival.

Lifestyle Modification Program for Lung Cancer Patients - Physical Activity Preference

Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is the leading cause of deaths in the world. Engagement in physical activity can provide important benefits for cancer patients. The current study is a cross-sectional questionnaire survey and in-depth interview to understand the physical activity preferences of patients with lung cancer. This process could help to develop a lifestyle modification program based on our patients' needs and preferences.

Evaluation ctDNA in Patients of Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer Following Resection

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is a promising biomarker for noninvasive assessment of cancer burden. In this study, PEAC (Personalized Analysis of Cancer) technology was performed to detect the driver gene mutations from plasma samples and matched tumor tissue samples were detected by NGS platform at baseline. Investigators also applied ctDNA dynamic monitoring using PEAC technology in early stage NSCLC patients with driver mutations positive at baseline, to evaluate the feasibility and their potential clinical application.

Evaluating Mutations in MET and TP53 Among Patients Diagnosed With Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the LungSquamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck

This study focuses on advanced lung and head and neck SCC tumours, with adjacent normal lung tissues. Biopsies will be performed in National University Health System, Singapore (NUHS) as part of participants' standard care. Patient blood was also required for extraction of cell free DNA (cfDNA) and genomic DNA (gDNA). Patients' medical records will also be reviewed for the purpose of this study.

Study of Use of CTC in NSCLC

Non Small Cell Lung CancerChronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

The purpose of this study is to assess whether the detection of circulating tumor cells (CTC) could be used as a tool to earlier diagnose, more accurately predict treatment response / failure and predict overall survival in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients

VATS Major Lung Resection for Chinese Early-stage Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Surgery may be the best treatment choice for early stage non-small cell lung cancer. And VATS major lung resection have been preferred as a standard radical procedure for early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).This study aim to investigate the outcome of VATS major lung resection for lung cancer as a real-world study in china.
