A Study Evaluating the Addition of MabThera (Rituximab) to Standard Treatment in Patients With Idiopathic...
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic PurpuraThis study will compare the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of standard treatment versus standard treatment plus MabThera in patients with ITP. The anticipated time on study treatment is <3 months, and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.
Interventional Study in Adults With Immune Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP) Receiving Romiplostim...
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic PurpuraThe purpose of this study is to describe the number of months with a platelet response over a 12 month treatment period and to describe ITP remission rates in adults with ITP receiving romiplostim.
A Longitudinal 2-year Bone Marrow Study of Eltrombopag in Previously Treated Adults, With Chronic...
PurpuraThrombocytopaenic1 moreA open-label, multi-center 2-year safety study to ascertain the baseline levels of bone marrow fibers in previously treated adults with chronic immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and to evaluate the long-term effect of eltrombopag on bone marrow fibers. The study will also describe the long-term safety and tolerability of oral eltrombopag treatment in subjects with chronic ITP.
Pilot Study of Fostamatinib Disodium/R935788 for the Treatment of Adult Refractory Immune Thrombocytopenic...
PurpuraThrombocytopenic1 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine whether Fostamatinib Disodium is safe and effective in the treatment of Adult Refractory Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP).
Study Of SB-497115 in Healthy Subjects and Subjects With Mild, Moderate or Severe Renal Impairment...
PurpuraThrombocytopaenic1 moreThe main purpose of this study is to compare how one 50 mg tablet of SB-497115 is broken down in the body by healthy subjects versus subjects with mild, moderate or severe kidney problems. The study is also being done to 1) check on how well the study drug is tolerated by healthy subjects versus those with liver problems and 2) to check if liver impairment affects how the study drug binds to protein in the blood.
IGIV Study for Chronic ITP Patients Ages 3-70
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic PurpuraIdiopathic (immune) thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by platelet destruction and thrombocytopenia (peripheral blood platelet count < 150 x 10^9/L). IVIG therapy is useful in patients in whom the platelet count has to be raised either due to bleeding signs, or where bleeding is predicted (e.g., surgery or parturition). The primary goal of treatment is to maintain the platelet count at a hemostatic level. This study will test the safety and efficacy of IGIV3I Grifols 10% in the treatment of patients with chronic ITP.
Amgen Megakaryopoiesis Protein 2 (AMG 531) in Thrombocytopenic Subjects With Immune Thrombocytopenic...
Thrombocytopenic PurpuraThe purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of AMG 531 (romiplostim), a novel thrombopoiesis-stimulating peptibody, and its effect on platelet counts in adults with immune thrombocytopenic purpura.
A Clinical Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of LIV-GAMMA SN Inj.10% in Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia...
Immune ThrombocytopeniaThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of LIV-GAMMA SN Inj.10% administered for 2 days in adult subjects with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). The primary objective of this study is to determine the responder rate. A response is defined as a platelet count of ≥30×10^9/L and at least a 2-fold increase of the baseline, confirmed on at least 2 separate occasions at least 7 days apart without bleeding. The secondary objectives are to evaluate the further efficacy assessments including time to response and duration of response, and the safety of LIV-GAMMA SN Inj.10%.
Efficacy and Safety Assessment of a Treatment Combining Rituximab and Belimumab in Adults With Persistent...
Immune ThrombocytopeniaPrevious studies have shown that increase level of BAFF could promote the settlement of long-lived plasma cells in the spleen of ITP patients treated with anti-CD20. This single-center prospective pilot study, currently in phase IIa, will evaluate the efficacy of a rituximab and belimumab sequential combination treatment. Investigators plan to include 15 patients with persistent ITP over a 24-month inclusion period. Each patient will be followed for 1 year
Therapy of Adults Affected by Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura With Dexamethasone
ITPCroticosteroid TherapyIn this prospective, randomized, controlled clinical trial investigators' aim was to compare the efficacy and the adverse effect of 3 therapy cycles of HD-DXM versus conventional treatment with PDN for untreated adult patients with ITP. In this study standardized criteria and definitions were used according to consensus international working group guideline for ITPto compare clinical outcomes of the two corticosteroid treatment regimens and determine the superior regimen as a first line strategy for new primary ITP in adults
