The primary objective of this study is to determine the safety of a single dose of intravenous ibuprofen administered over 5-10 minutes for the treatment of fever or pain in the hospital setting.

The investigators aim to compare two antibiotic treatments for enteric (typhoid) fever. Three hundred patients at Patan Hospital will be enrolled in the study. Patients will be assigned to one of the two treatments by chance and followed for 6 months. The two treatment groups will be compared to see which treatment is more likely to make the patient better.

The purpose of the study is to assess the safety and effect of Viusid (bags of 4 grams) administration in the treatment of acute fever of viral etiology as diagnosed by clinical, hematologic and serologic parameters. The duration of this open and randomized phase 2 clinical trial will be 6 days. The estimated number of persons with acute fever of viral etiology to be recruited and randomized for the study is 200. The primary outcome measure: platelet, leukocyte and granulocyte count will be assessed at the beginning and the end of the study.

The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy of dexibuprofen syrup and ibuprofen syrup in patients with fever due to common cold.

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as oxaliplatin, leucovorin, and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Hyperthermia therapy kills tumor cells by heating them to several degrees above normal body temperature. Peritoneal infusion of heated and nonheated chemotherapy drugs after surgery may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of hyperthermic intraperitoneal oxaliplatin followed by intraperitoneal leucovorin and fluorouracil in treating patients with peritoneal cancer.

A study designed to evaluate the role of treatment with a biological agent - Canakinumab in pediatric (age 4-20) Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) patients that are intolerant or resistant for colchicine treatment. The study hypothesis is that Canakinumab will reduce attack frequency and severity.

The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) will help to control the disease in patients with Stage 4 stomach or gastroesophageal cancer. The safety of this treatment will also be studied.

The goal of this clinical research study is to find the highest tolerated dose of heated cisplatin that can be given to patients with lung tumors. The safety of this drug will also be studied.
