Mitotane With or Without Cisplatin and Etoposide After Surgery in Treating Patients With Stage I-III...
ENSAT Stage I Adrenal Cortex CarcinomaENSAT Stage II Adrenal Cortex Carcinoma1 moreThis phase III trial studies how well mitotane alone works compared to mitotane with cisplatin and etoposide when given after surgery in treating patients with adrenocortical cancer that has a high risk of coming back (recurrence). Cortisol can cause the growth of adrenocortical tumor cells. Antihormone therapy, such as mitotane, may lessen the amount of cortisol made by the body. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether mitotane alone or mitotane with cisplatin and etoposide after surgery works better in treating patients with adrenocortical carcinoma.
Quizartinib, Decitabine, and Venetoclax in Treating Participants With Untreated or Relapsed Acute...
Acute Myeloid LeukemiaMyelodysplastic Syndrome3 moreThis phase I/II trial studies how well quizartinib, decitabine, and venetoclax work in treating participants with acute myeloid leukemia or high risk myelodysplastic syndrome that is untreated or has come back (relapsed). Quizartinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as decitabine and venetoclax, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving quizartinib and decitabine may work better at treating acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome.
HSV G207 in Children With Recurrent or Refractory Cerebellar Brain Tumors
NeoplasmsBrain43 moreThis study is a clinical trial to determine the safety of inoculating G207 (an experimental virus therapy) into a recurrent or refractory cerebellar brain tumor. The safety of combining G207 with a single low dose of radiation, designed to enhance virus replication, tumor cell killing, and an anti-tumor immune response, will also be tested. Surgery and Niraparib in Secondary Recurrent Ovarian Cancer (SOC-3 Trial)
Ovarian Cancer RecurrentFallopian Tube Cancer1 moreThis is a Phase II, open-label, multicenter, randomized umbrella study to evaluate the efficacy of cytoreductive surgery and Niraparib maintenance in participants with platinum-sensitive secondary recurrent ovarian cancer. Cohort 1 will focus on participants without prior use of PARP inhibitor, and without prior secondary cytoreduction (SCR) when first recurrence. Cohort 2 will focus on participants with prior use of PARP inhibitor, but without prior SCR when first recurrence. Cohort 3 will focus on participants with SCR when first recurrence, but without prior use of PARP inhibitor.
Optune Delivered Electric Field Therapy and Bevacizumab in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Progressive...
Anaplastic (Malignant) MeningiomaAtypical Meningioma4 moreThe purpose of this research study is to determine the effects bevacizumab (the study drug) combined with Optune (the study device) tumor treatment field therapy has on meningiomas. Bevacizumab is considered investigational because the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved its use for the treatment of meningiomas. The study drug is a medication that blocks the growth of new blood vessels. It is thought that the study drug may interfere with the growth of new blood vessels and therefore might stop tumor growth, and possibly shrink the tumor by keeping it from receiving nutrients and oxygen supplied by the blood vessels. Optune is also considered investigational because the US FDA has not approved its use for the treatment of meningiomas. Optune is a device that the patient will wear and use for at least 18 hours of each day. It delivers alternating electrical current to the patient's brain tumor and by doing so interrupts a process called mitosis. Mitosis needs to occur in order for cell division to occur and allows tumors to grow. By slowing this process, we hypothesize that meningioma growth may also be slowed.
A Study to Compare Treatment With the Drug Selumetinib Alone Versus Selumetinib and Vinblastine...
Recurrent Low Grade AstrocytomaRecurrent WHO Grade 2 Glioma3 moreThis phase III trial investigates the best dose of vinblastine in combination with selumetinib and the benefit of adding vinblastine to selumetinib compared to selumetinib alone in treating children and young adults with low-grade glioma (a common type of brain cancer) that has come back after prior treatment (recurrent) or does not respond to therapy (progressive). Selumetinib is a drug that works by blocking a protein that lets tumor cells grow without stopping. Vinblastine blocks cell growth by stopping cell division and may kill cancer cells. Giving selumetinib in combination with vinblastine may work better than selumetinib alone in treating recurrent or progressive low-grade glioma.
IN10018 in Combination With Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin (PLD) vs. Placebo in Combination With...
Ovarian Cancer RecurrentThis is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, phase II clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of IN10018 in combination with PLD vs. placebo in combination with PLD in subjects with platinum-resistant recurrent ovarian cancer (including fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancers).
Does Nerve Block + Oral Dexamethasone Reduce Recurrence of Headache Within 72 Hrs?
MigraineFor some patients who come to the emergency department for treatment of a migraine headache, peripheral headache nerve blocks (PHNB) have proven to be an efficient and effective treatment for headache relief. Previous studies have demonstrated that adding steroids as an adjunct treatment to standard migraine treatment can reduce recurrence of headaches in the subsequent few days.
Azacitidine and Quizartinib for the Treatment of Myelodysplastic Syndrome or Myelodysplastic/Myeloproliferative...
Chronic Myelomonocytic LeukemiaMyelodysplastic Syndrome4 moreThis phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of quizartinib when given with azacitidine and to see how well they work in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndrome or myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasm with FLT3 or CBL mutations. Chemotherapy drugs, such as azacitidine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Quizartinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving azacitidine and quizartinib may help to control myelodysplastic syndrome or myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasm.
Ribociclib&Belinostat In Patients w Metastatic Triple Neg Breast Cancer & Recurrent Ovarian Cancer...
Metastatic Breast CancerRecurrent Ovarian CarcinomaThis is an open-label, multi-center, phase I study designed to assess the maximum tolerated dose of ribociclib and belinostat in combination. The trial will open with a dose escalation followed by an expansion cohort at the identified dose. Dose escalation will be open to the enrollment of patients diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer or ovarian cancer. Dose expansion will only be open to patients diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.
