GastroenterologyThis study evaluates the Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction in Prevention of Colorectal Adenomatous Polyp Recurrence After Colonoscopy.Half of participants will receive Xiaoai Jiedu Decoction, while the other half will receive a placebo.
Hematogenous Osteomyelitis in Childhood Can Relapse Dozens of Years in Adulthood
OsteomyelitisHematogenous Osteomyelitis RelapseTo our knowledge, few cases of relapse in adulthood are described in the literature except in patients with sickle cell disease and the epidemiological, clinical, laboratory, radiological features and the management of osteomyelitis relapsing in adulthood are not described. The aim of this retrospective multicentric cohort study : in France is to describe the epidemiological, clinical, laboratory, and radiological features and the management of adult patients who experienced a relapse between 2003-2015 of an acute hematogenous osteomyelitis acquired in the childhood (description of characterization of the period between the first episode of osteomyelitis and the second episode, description of signs of relapse and description of treatments used in the relapse). The data are analysed with non-comparative descriptive statistics.
Hydrodissection of Recurrent Laryngeal Nerve: Case Series
Recurrent Laryngeal Nerve InjuriesThis study evaluates the hydrodissection technique in recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) dissection in thyroid surgeries. In this study hydrodissection of RLN was performed routinely in thyroid surgeries.
Mammographic Density and the Risk of Tumor Recurrence in Asian Women: a Case-control Study
Case Control StudyTo evaluate the influence of mammographic breast density at diagnosis on the risk of cancer recurrence and survival outcome in patients with invasive breast cancer after surgery
Analgesia aNd caNcer recUrrence Lung cAncer Resection
Recurrence TumorOpioid Use3 moreThe choice of analgesia after cancer surgery may play a role in the onset of recurrence, particularly opioids seem to play a role in the immune system by promoting cancer cell proliferation and migration. Based on this consideration, our aim was to assess the impact of perioperative analgesia's choice on cancer recurrence after curative surgery for Stage I Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. The investigators retrospectively reviewed the records of patients who underwent lung resection for Stage I NSCLC between January 2005 and December 2012. Patients received analgesia either by peridural (PERI group) or, in case of patient refusal or failure in catheter positioning, intravenous analgesia with opioids (EV group). Follow-up was concluded in August 2019. The five-year cumulative incidence of recurrence and the overall survival were evaluated and adjusted with a propensity score matching methodology.
Factors Predicting Urethral Stricture Recurrence After Dorsal Onlay Augmented, Buccal Mucosal Graft...
Urethral StrictureIn this observational study, the investigators will evaluate potential risk factors associated with urethral stricture recurrence after augmentation anterior urethroplasty using dorsal onlay buccal mucosal Graft during the past 10 years. Patients' medical files will be reviewed for data relevant to demographics, clinical and operative characteristics. data will be analyzed using the appropriate statistical tests and the independent predictors of urethroplasty outcome will be identified.
Predictors for Retreatement of OAB After DC Mirabegron
Recurrence of Overactive Bladder SyndromeRecurrence of female overactive bladder syndrome (OAB) is not uncommon. It is important to decrease the recurrence of female OAB. However, factors predicting recurrence of female OAB, especially for those women who need retreatment is undetermined. Thus, the aim of this study was to elucidate factors predicting retreatment of female OAB.
The Use of Immunohistochemical Staining for the Prediction of Wilms Tumour Progression and Recurrence...
Wilms TumorRelapse1 moreWilms' tumour staging and grading are used to give an idea about the prognosis. Advanced staging, diffuse anaplasia, predominant blastemal elements and lymph node invasion are indicators of poor prognosis. In spite of using the previously mentioned parameters, some tumours which were considered of low risk did not respond to therapy and eventually resulted in mortality. In contrast, other tumours assumed to be of poor prognosis responded dramatically to treatment. In light of the above, it is crucial to search for predictors of Wilms' tumour prognosis other than tumour staging and grading. Many immunohistochemical (IHC) stains have been studied as prognostic markers for nephroblastoma in literature.
Caregiver Burden, Quality of Life, and Symptom Distress at Different Palliative Cancer Care Settings...
Advanced Malignant NeoplasmLocally Advanced Malignant Neoplasm2 moreThis trial studies caregiver burden, quality of life, and symptom distress of patients and their informal (unpaid) caregivers at different palliative care settings. Cancer caregiving may affect a caregiver's life physically, emotionally, socially, and financially. Studying caregiver burden may help investigators learn about caregivers' opinions on stress of caregiving, and about the factors related to caregiver burdens.
Surgery for Recurrent Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma
CholangiocarcinomaIntrahepatic2 moreThe investigators retrospectively reviewed the participants suffering from recurrent intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma after curative resection and aimed to explore the predictive factors for recurrence and clarify the potential benefit of repeat hepatectomy or/with metastasectomy.
