Vertistop® D and Vertistop® L in Preventing Recurrence of High-recurrence BPPV

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

Randomized, 3-arm controlled clinical study, to evaluate the effectiveness of supplementation with Vertistop® D (food supplement containing alpha-lipoic acid at modified release, Carnosine and Zinc, Vitamin D and Vitamins B) and Vertistop® L (food supplement containing fast releasing alpha-lipoic acid, Carnosine, Zinc and Curcumin) in preventing recurrence of high-recurrence BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo)

Durvalumab and Epacadostat for Treatment of Unresectable, Recurrent, or Metastatic Epstein-Barr...

Epstein-Barr Virus PositiveMetastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma5 more

This phase II trial studies how well durvalumab and epacadostat work in treating patients with Epstein-Barr virus positive nasopharyngeal cancer that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable), has come back (recurrent), or has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Epacadostat blocks the enzyme, IDO1, from working. Blocking this enzyme may allow for a stronger immune response against cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab, may help the body?s immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving durvalumab and epacadostat may work better in treating patients with nasopharyngeal cancer compared to durvalumab alone.

ASTX727 and FT-2102 in Treating IDH1-Mutated Recurrent/Refractory Myelodysplastic Syndrome or Acute...

Acute Myeloid LeukemiaMyelodysplastic Syndrome4 more

This phase Ib/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of FT-2102 when given together with ASTX727 in treating patients with IDH1-mutated myelodysplastic syndrome or acute myeloid leukemia that has come back (recurrent) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). ASTX727 is an oral deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) methyltransferase (DNMT) inhibitor. DNA methylation is necessary for cell differentiation and development. Changes to the methylation profile can lead to DNA instability which can cause diseases like cancer. DNMT inhibitors target and inhibit these changes. FT-2102 is an isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) inhibitor. IDH1 is a type of protein involved in metabolism, or the process of providing the body's cells with energy. FT-2102 may stop the abnormal IDH1 protein and may reduce 2-HG levels in diseased cells to levels found in normal cells. Giving ASTX727 and FT-2102 may work better in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndrome or acute myeloid leukemia compared to ASTX727 and FT-2102 alone.

Metastatic Head and Neck Squamous Cell CarcinomaAdvanced Malignancies1 more

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety, tolerability, efficacy, PK and pharmacodynamics of INCAGN01876 when given in combination with retifanlimab. The study will consist of 2 parts: a safety lead-in part (Part 1) followed by a dose expansion part (Part 2).

Evaluation of the Efficacy of Vertistop® D and Vertistop® L in the Prevention of BPPV Recurrence...

Benign Paroxysmal Positional VertigoVitamin D1 more

The study involves the evaluation of 3 groups of subjects (3-arm study). Patients diagnosed with BPPV and "sufficient" serum concentrations of Vitamin D (>30 ng/mL, >75 nmol/L) at baseline may be treated with 2 tablets per day (morning and evening) of Vertistop® L ( Alpha-lipoic acid, carnosine, zinc and curcumin) or untreated, on the basis of the randomization criterion to which they will be assigned. Patients with Vitamin D "deficiency" (<20 ng/mL, <50 nmol/L) or Vitamin D "insufficient" (20-30 ng/mL, 50-75 nmol/L) at baseline, or subsequent follow-up, they will be treated for 2 months with Vertistop® D (alpha-lipoic acid, carnosine and zinc, vitamin D3 and vitamins of the B complex) taking 1 tablet a day (before meals). The main purpose of the study is to evaluate, over a period of 6 months, the efficacy of Vertistop® D and Vertistop® L supplementation in preventing recurrences of BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo), in relation to blood levels of Vitamin D.

Talazoparib and HSP90 Inhibitor AT13387 in Treating Patients With Metastatic Advanced Solid Tumor...

Adult Solid NeoplasmEstrogen Receptor Negative11 more

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of talazoparib and heat shock protein (HSP)90 inhibitor AT13387 when given together in treating patients with solid tumors that have spread to other places in the body (metastatic) or ovarian, fallopian tube, primary peritoneal, or hormone negative breast cancer that have come back after a period of improvement (recurrent). Talazoparib and HSp90 inhibitor AT13387 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some enzymes that are need for cell growth. HSp90 inhibitor AT1338 may also help talazoparib work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug.

Etoposide, Prednisone, Vincristine Sulfate, Cyclophosphamide, and Doxorubicin Hydrochloride With...

B Acute Lymphoblastic LeukemiaB Lymphoblastic Lymphoma7 more

This phase II trial studies how well etoposide, prednisone, vincristine sulfate, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin hydrochloride with asparaginase work in treating patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoblastic lymphoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as etoposide, prednisone, vincristine sulfate, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Asparaginase breaks down the amino acid asparagine and may block the growth of tumor cells that need asparagine to grow. Giving combination chemotherapy with asparaginase may work better in treating patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoblastic lymphoma.

Impact of Vitamin D Supplementation on Recurrent Respiratory Infections in Paediatric Primary Care....

Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections

Up to date, some clinical trial have evaluated the efficacy and safety of Vitamin D supplementation in children with RRI, with no conclusive information. Therefore, the investigators designed a prospective, single-blind, clinical trial to evaluate whether oral supplementation with vitamin D from October to April reduces the global health burden of recurrent respiratory tract infections in a primary care setting. The primary outcome was evaluated if Vitamin D supplementation during autumn and winter can reduce the number of respiratory tract infections in children diagnosed with recurrent respiratory tract infections the seasons before. Secondary objectives was the assessment of Vitamin D supplementation benefits on global socioeconomic burden of recurrent respiratory tract infections in a primary care setting, according to number of visits to the primary care paediatrician and use of antibiotics due to respiratory tract infections.
