Efficacy of Antiviral Therapy After Radical Resection for Hepatitis B Virus-Related Hepatocellular...

Hepatocellular CarcinomaHepatitis B Virus1 more

Most hepatocellular carcinomas are associated with hepatitis B virus, it is hypothesized that anti-viral treatment may be helpful in treating HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma.

Salvage Cryotherapy in Recurrent Prostate Cancer

Recurrent Prostate Cancer

To provide a systemic, uniform and user-friendly tool for collection of data on prostate cancer salvage cryotherapy in a multicenter setting. The goal is to learn more about the short and long term efficacy and safety of this procedure. Ultimately the data analysis will serve as a robust guidance instrument for improving upon the utilization of this procedure for the treatment of patients with recurrent (LRD) prostate cancer.

CyberKnife Radiosurgery for Locally Recurrent Prostate CA

Recurrent Prostate Cancer

The purpose of this study is to scientifically evaluate the effects (good and bad) of a new type of radiation treatment in patients with locally recurrent prostate cancer after prior radiotherapy. The treatment is known as prostate radiosurgery, and is distinguished from traditional radiotherapy by the application of smaller, more precisely controlled margins around the area targeted for full dose radiation, and far fewer treatments, using a much larger dose per treatment. This research is being done to see what advantages, if any, prostate radiosurgery may have over other salvage treatment methods, including brachytherapy, cryosurgery, high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), hormonal therapy and radical prostatectomy.

Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy and Microwave Ablation for Recurrent Small Hepatocellular Carcinoma...

Recurrent Hepatocellular CarcinomaMicrowave Ablation1 more

The prognosis of small liver cancer (≤5 cm) who had underwent stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is encouraging, with the 1-year local control rate has been reported to be 95-100%, 3-year local control rate about 91%, 3-year overall survival rate around 70%. Local ablation therapy has become the standard treatment for recurrent liver cancer after surgery and interventional treatment. The ablation rate of tumors with a diameter of 3.1-5.0 cm reached 90%. The 1, 2, and 3-year survival rates had been reported to be 89%, 74%, and 60%, respectively, which is similar to that of surgical resection. At present, there is no randomized controlled study of SBRT and microwave ablation (MWA) for small liver cancer. It is hoped that this study will further compare the efficacy of SBRT and MWA for recurrent small hepatocellular carcinoma.

Standard of Care Therapy With Involved Field Radiation Therapy for Selective Recurrent Ovarian Cancer...

Recurrent Ovarian Cancer

This study aims to investigate the effect of involved-field radiotherapy for recurrent ovarian cancer after primary standard treatment. We will investigate whether the addition of involved-field RT improves 2-year PFS in those patients than that of historical data (only with other standard salvage treatments as systemic chemotherapy ± maximum tumor resection).

Lidocaine Reduces Muscle Tremor is Beneficial for Intraoperative Recurrent Laryngeal Nerve Monitoring...

Thyroid CancerNeck Cancer3 more

In recent years, the application of intraoperative recurrent laryngeal nerve monitoring in thyroid surgery has greatly reduced the complications of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury. The use of intraoperative neurological monitoring requires the reduction of the dose of neuromuscular blockade, which often leads to muscle tremors during the application of electrical energy, which affects the fine separation around the muscles. This study explored the effect of local application of lidocaine on reducing muscle tremor during surgery and its optimal dose.

The Efficacy and Safety Study of TORIPALIMAB INJECTION Combined With Chemotherapy for Nasophapyngeal...

Recurrent or Metastatic NPC

This is a randomized, placebo-controlled, multi-center, double blinded, Phase III study to determine the efficacy and safety of TORIPALIMAB INJECTIO(JS001) in combination with gemcitabine/cisplatin compared with placebo in combination with gemcitabine/cisplatin as first-line treatment in patients with histological/cytological confirmation of recurrent or metastatic NPC. The primary endpoint is PFS in all patients. Approximately 280 patients who fulfill all of the inclusion criteria and none of the exclusion criteria will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to one of the two treatment arms. patients will be randomly assigned to the combination of JS001 (Arm A) or placebo (Arm B) with gemcitabine and cisplatin given every 3 weeks (Q3W) in 3-week cycles.
