Lifestyle Intervention to Prevent the Recurrence of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM)

Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) is a commom complication during pregnancy and associated with various adverse pregnancy outcomes for both the mother and her offspring. Imoportantly, with the gradual opening of a two-child policy, more and more Chinese women of reproductive age enter pregnancy have a history of GDM. Our previous study showed that regular exercise commenced in early pregnancy is effective in reducing the risk of developing GDM in Chinese overweight and obese pregant women. Thus, in this study, we want to evaluate the effect of lifestyle intervention with detailed information on how to eat and how to diet in preventing the recurrence of GDM.

Effectiveness of Rifaximin Combined With Thiopurine on Preventing Postoperative Recurrence in Crohn's...

Crohn Disease

Some studies have shown that rifaximin is effective in the management of Crohn's Disease. Meanwhile, its adverse effect is tolerable. But no study has been conducted to assess its effect on preventing postoperative recurrence. Thus, we conduct a randomised controlled study to assess the effect of rifaximin combined with thiopurine on preventing postoperative endoscopic recurrence in Crohn's disease, compared with thiopurine. The primary endpoint is the rate of endoscopic recurrence at 6 months.

Prevention of Recurrence of Suicide Attempt by Adolescent by Sending SMS (MEDIACONNEX)

Suicide

MEDIACONNEX study propose a new way of connectedness for adolescents after a suicide attempt: it is based on the sending of SMS (or mail or other new media), over a period of 6 months after their suicide attempt (SA), in order to allow them to recourse to the care more easily and so to limit the risk of suicidal recurrence. The MEDIACONNEX study will be a multicenter controlled randomized trial (East of France) and there is a funding from the Hospital. The proposal trial will test the hypothesis that adolescent suicide attempters who are receiving SMS (or mail or other new media) from the unit of care in addition to the usual care will do less SA recurrence, than those who are receiving the usual care. The primary objective is to determine whether the use of SMS (or mail or other new media) to keep in touch with adolescent suicide attempters in addition to the usual care, compare to usual care, will reduce the delay of recurrence of suicide attempt during 6 months after the SA.

Jejunoileal vs Gastric GIST in the Era of Imatinib.

Disease-free SurvivalOverall Survival1 more

Introduction: Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GISTs) located in the jejunum or ileum (JI-GIST) are considered of worse prognosis compared to other locations. It has been suggested that this dogma should be revised. The aim of this study is to describe the characteristics of jejunoileal GISTs and its prognosis; and to compare them with gastric GISTs in the era of imatinib. Patients and methods: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical histories of all the patients diagnosed with GISTs between January 2000 and November 2016. Clinical and pathological data, as well recurrence, metastatic, disease-free survival (DFS) as overall (OS) rates of patients with JI-GIST or gastric GIST (G-GIST) were collected and compared.

Recurrence of Liver Malignancy After Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

Ischemic Reperfusion InjuryLiver Injury3 more

Severe ischemic changes of the liver remnant after hepatectomy could expedite tumor recurrence on the residual liver. Our study aimed at assessing the effect of warm ischemic/reperfusion (I/R) injuries on surgery-to-local recurrence interval and patient overall survival, during major hepatectomies under inflow and outflow vascular control.
