Kidney Cancer

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplant may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well chemotherapy followed by surgery and radiation therapy with or without stem cell transplant work in treating patients with relapsed or refractory Wilms' tumor or clear cell sarcoma of the kidney.

Zero Ischemia Laparoscopic Radio Frequency/Microwave Ablation Assisted Enucleation of Renal Cell...

Kidney Neoplasms

Zero ischemia laparoscopic radio frequency ablation assisted tumor enucleation has been proved to enable tumor excision with relatively better renal function preservation comparing with conventional laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for T1a renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in a randomized clinical trial in single center. The investigators want to explore this technique to T1 RCC patients in randomized clinical trial in multiple centers.

Ultrasound Elastography in Diagnosing Patients With Kidney or Liver Solid Focal Lesions

Adult Primary Liver CancerKidney Tumor

This clinical trial studies ultrasound elastography in diagnosing patients with kidney or liver solid focal lesions. New diagnostic procedures, such as ultrasound elastography, may be a less invasive way to check for kidney or liver solid focal lesions.

Cardiac Arrhythmias in Patients Undergoing Kidney Cancer Surgery Depending on the Anaesthesia Method...

ArrhythmiaCardiac4 more

This study evaluates the incidence of cardiac arrhythmias during the perioperative period in patients undergoing open kidney cancer surgery in the lateral position. All the participants will be randomly allocated to receive general (Group G) or combined epidural/general anaesthesia (Group G/E). The anaesthetic technique is standardized. The Holter monitor will be applied at the evening before the surgery, tracing continuously for a period of 24 hours (7PM-7PM)

Open-label Pilot Evaluating Renal Lesions w/ Contrast-enhaced US in Patients w/ Renal Cancer

Kidney Cancer

This prospective pilot study is designed to evaluate the accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasound when used to evaluate renal lesions in two different populations; patients with known renal tumors (Cohort 1) and patients with a risk factor for renal malignancy in whom their screening ultrasound shows an indeterminate or possibly malignant renal mass (Cohort 2).
