Kidney FailureChronic2 moreHemodialysis (HD) is an important and commonly used renal replacement therapy (RRT) for End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients worldwide. Inadequate HD, impaired exercise capacity and declined peripheral muscular strength resulted by HD and ESRD are still disturbing problems, which also predicts poor renal prognosis and poor quality of life. The results of systematic reviews by the investigators have shown that aerobic exercise and combined exercise can improve dialysis efficacy (alleviate uremia symptoms), improve aerobic exercise capacity and muscle strength, and improve patients' quality of life, which also supports the notion that the National Kidney Foundation Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (K/DOQI) recommends exercise as cornerstone of ESRD rehabilitation. Therefore, this study used the effective exercise type of the systematic review results - combined exercise as an intervention method to observe its effects on dialysis efficacy, blood pressure, aerobic exercise capacity, muscle strength and quality of life. The study hypothesized that combined exercise can not only improve dialysis efficacy, but also has an interaction effect with intervention duration, which deserves researches' attention. Combined exercise will also improve blood pressure (including systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure) in patients with ESRD and reduce the symptoms of renal hypertension. It will also improve the exercise capacity and muscle strength of ESRD patients and improve their quality of life.

A more definitive, less invasive method for monitoring injury and early rejection is needed. We report on the clinical utility of donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) in transplant recipients' blood, measured using a novel SNP-based mmPCR NGS methodology, to diagnose allograft injury/rejection. Renal ImpairmentRenal DiseaseRenal insufficiency is common in participants with blood cancers. The main objective of this study is to evaluate adverse events and movement of oral venetoclax tablets through the body of female participants with severe normal renal function and those with end stage renal disease (ESRD) requiring hemodialysis. Venetoclax is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of various hematologic malignancies. Study doctors put the participants in 1 of 2 groups, called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. Approximately 12 female participants between 18 and 75 years, with Body Mass Index (BMI) between 18 to 42 kg/m2 will be enrolled in approximately 4 sites across the world. Participants with normal renal function will receive single dose of oral venetoclax tablet. Participants with ESRD will receive oral venetoclax tablets just prior to hemodialysis (Period 1 Day 1) and between dialysis days (Period 2 Day 1), doses in the two periods will be separated by at least 7 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood and urine tests, checking for side effects.
