Strategies for Reducing Sperm DNA Fragmentation in ICSI Semen Samples: a Prospective Randomized...

Male Infertility

Comparing second ejaculate and physiological ICSI (PICSI) as strategies for improvement of abnormal sperm DNA fragmentation in patients undergoing ICSI.

Agonist Trigger With HCG Luteal Supplementation vs HCG Trigger With Progesterone Luteal Supplementation...

InfertilityFemale

The aim of the current study is to compare agonist trigger and HCG luteal support vs standard HCG trigger and progesterone luteal supplementation in antagonist controlled hyperstimulation cycle as regards to clinical pregnancy rate.

Efficacy and Safety of QL1012 in Women for Assisted Reproductive Treatment

Infertility

The study is conducted to confirm equivalence between QL1012 (a new biosimilar formulation of Recombinant Human Follicle-stimulating Hormone) and Gonal-f® with respect to the number of oocytes retrieved in women for assisted reproductive treatment.

Effects of Seminal Plasma on Pregnancy Rate With IVF

Infertility

All couples planned for IVF will be asked to participate. After information and received informed consent they will be randomized into two groups. At the time for ovum pick up during an IVF procedure either half of the amount of seminal plasma or the same amount of physiological NaCl solution will be installed around the external cervical opening in vagina. The syringe with seminal plasma or physiological NaCl solution will be prepared according to a prearranged randomization list by a technician. The success rate will be the number of diagnosed pregnancies and live births.

Autologous Mitochondrial Transfer in ICSI to Improve Oocyte and Embryo Quality in IVF Patients....

Infertility

The principle objective is to improve embryo quality through autologous micro-injection of mitochondria isolated from Ovarian stem cells into the oocytes themselves, as a complementary ICSI technique in patients with low embryo quality in previous IVF cycles and in those who did not bear children. This improvement in embryo quality will be determined through on-going pregnancy rate after treatment and/or improvement in embryo quality according to morphological (ASEBIR-"Association for the study of Biology in Reproductive Science), morphokinetic criteria and in Preimplantation Genetic Screening. Using an adaptive design, retrieved oocytes of approximately 60 patients will be randomized in the first part of the study to two treatment groups; standard ICSI procedure without mitochondrial supplementation and ICSI with autologous mitochondrial supplementation. Following an interim analysis of outcomes, an additional 130 patients may be added, for a total of 190 patients.

Follicle Activation by Inhibition of the Hippo Pathway

Infertility

The aim of this project is to activate recruitment and growth of resting primordial follicles in the ovaries of women with diminished ovarian reserve, in attempt to increase the chance to become pregnant, either naturally or after assisted reproduction.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparing Embryonic Quality in rFSH Versus hMG in IVF Protocol With...

Infertility

rFSH and HMG are both used to controlled ovarian stimulation for patients submitted to IVF. However, there is a debate in the literature which one is better to induce ovulation in patients receiving GnRH antagonist to block premature Luteinizing Hormone (LH) secretion. The investigators propose a Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) to investigate the differences among recombinant FSH and HMG in patients submitted to IVF using GnRH antagonists.

Three Small Doses of HCG Versus Booster Dose of HCG on Ovum Pickup Day

Infertility

To salvage the luteal phase and improve pregnancy rate in antagonist IVF/ICSI cycles triggered with GnRH agonist. Two strategies are compared supplementing the luteal phase with three small doses (500 IU) of HCG and giving a booster dose of HCG (1500 IU) on the day of ovum pickup.

The Microbiome of Infertile Couples and Its Effect on Their Reproductive Outcomes

Abnormal Vaginal MicrobiotaInfertility

A prospective cohort study in IVF patients at 5 IVF centres in Denmark. The primary aim is to include patients positive for abnormal vaginal microbiota to an RCT (EUDRACT 2016-002385-31). Secondary aims are the prevalence of abnormal vaginal microbiota in women undergoing IVF treatment, intimate hygiene and relations to the vaginal microbiota, basic fertility work up in relation to vaginal microbiota.
