Study of Value of Dexamethasone Used in Ovulation Induction

InfertilityFemale

This study intends to solve the following problems: whether use dexamethasone can obviously decrease transplant cancelling probability in fresh embryo transplant cycle or not, reduce time and frequency going to hospital repeatedly for patients need frozen embryo transplant or not, and reduce the economic burden for patients or not; By comparing pregnancy rate of single transplant, hope to make clear in IVF-ET treatment for patients progesterone increases to a certain level whether it is a good choice to transfer fresh embryo after dexamethasone treatment, or frozen embryo transplant is better.

Transversal, Controlled and Not Randomized Study, Laying on the Desire of Children and Eating Disorders...

InfertilityEating Disorders

In France , 15% of couples seek help for problems conceiving . In 10% of cases, infertility remains " unexplained" . Among the causes of female infertility , there are the eating disorders, as well as sexual disorders , these two cases may be linked. In addition, data from the literature seem to suggest that beyond a diagnosis of eating disorders, the feeding behavior of infertile women is more often disturbed than the general population. Moreover, the notions of desire for a child and maternal representations seem essential to address in the comprehensive care of women with infertility but also TCA integrating all conflicting issues reactivated at the time of motherhood. However, little work has been done on this subject. Thus, we propose a study on the desire for children and the eating disorders to infertile women, to update epidemiological data, but also to better characterize this particular patient population. Perspectives of this work are to improve screening measures and support through a joint work of doctors reproductive and psychiatrists.

Does Letrozole Improve the Outcomes and/or Reduce the Cost of IVF-ET Cycles?

Infertility

This research is being done to determine whether the success rate of in vitro fertilization treatment can be improved, while lowering the cost incurred from infertility medications using a pill called letrozole.

The Paleolithic Diet and Male Factor Infertility

Male Infertility

Prospective studies concerning diet and male fertility are lacking. Observational studies suggest that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and meats may be associated with higher sperm counts. The investigators wanted to see if a "paleolithic diet" consisting of meat, fish, fruits vegetables and nuts and lacking grains, legumes and dairy products can improve sperm counts.

GnRH Agonist at Embryo Transfer: IVF Outcomes

InfertilityInfertility3 more

In ART (assisted reproductive technology) cycles, embryos are transferred to a woman's uterus after in-vitro fertilization (IVF) in a laboratory. Usually, hormones (progesterone) are given to the patient after transferring the embryo, as a supplement, in order to mimic the natural hormones that would normally be secreted in an unassisted pregnancy. This study will identify whether additional gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH-agonist) administration, a natural hormone secreted from the hypothalamus, will improve the clinical pregnancy and live birth rates when using IVF.

Establishment of a Primary Epididymal Cell Model From Epididymal Samples to Study CFTR Gene Regulation...

Cystic FibrosisCongenital Bilateral Absence of Vas Deferens2 more

The aim of this observational study is to better understand the role and involvement of the regulatory elements of the CFTR gene, with the aim of better describing the 3D organisation of chromatin at the CFTR locus in epididymal cells in patients with male infertility of any kind, or with cystic fibrosis or bilateral agenesis of the vas deferens, requiring scheduled surgery. The main questions it aims to answer are: to better characterise this 3D organisation of the CFTR locus, the study of regulatory elements in primary epididymal cells is the most relevant and realistic model. to gain a better understanding of the regulation of the CFTR gene in epididymal cells in order to gain a better understanding of the pathology of male infertility caused by bilateral agenesis of the vas deferens, a symptom and also a borderline form of cystic fibrosis. Participants will Epididymal samples will be taken by a urologist for the AMP department during the planned surgery. The rest of the samples taken will be recovered for research purposes, with the aim of recovering the epididymal cells contained in the sample. This is in no way an additional procedure and will have no impact on the patient's health..

Study of Optimal Posology of Gonadotrophins in Patients With Insufficient Ovarian Response Due to...

Infertility

In In vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, poor responder patients of more than 38 years old are randomized prospectively into two dosages of gonadotrophins. The outcome of treatment will be analyzed.

Rapid Detection Method for Microorganisms in the Lower Genital Tract

InfertilityFemale

Mycoplasma, chlamydia, and gonococcal infection of the female lower genital tract can lead to infertility and various adverse pregnancy outcomes. The lower genital tract bacterial community status type (CST) is closely related to genital tract infection and reproductive health. However, there is a need for a rapid, accurate, stable, and economical detection method to detect the above pathogens and CST at the same time, so there is also a need for evaluation of the correlation between each pathogen infection and CST. Matrix assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is more stable and accurate than traditional detection methods such as culture and staining. It can simultaneously detect a variety of microorganisms and their subtypes, while the high-throughput sequencing method is faster and more economical, which is suitable for detecting multiple microorganisms in clinical practice. The research group has established a perfect MALDI-TOF MS platform in the early stage and put it into clinical testing. This project will establish a new rapid detection method for lower genital tract microorganisms based on MALDI-TOF MS. Then, examine the lower genital tract microecology of infertile patients and healthy women using the newly developed method. At last, analyze the correlation between pathogen infection, CST status, and infertility. This project will solve the practical work needs of clinicians for a comprehensive assessment of female lower genital tract CST and common pathogen infection and fill in the technical gaps in the microbial examination of the lower genital tract.
