Reprometabolic Syndrome Mediates Subfertility in Obesity

ObesityInfertility2 more

Obesity plays an adverse role at every stage of conception and pregnancy and mounting evidence implicates relative hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, and reduced menstrual cycle hormone secretion as likely contributors to the subfertility phenotype and possible contributors to complications of pregnancy and the developmental origin of adult diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. This study will be the first comprehensive investigation to tie together the patterns of hyperinsulinemia, hyperlipidemia and inflammation, characteristic of obesity and obesity-caused relative hypogonadotropic hypogonadotropism and its potential adverse reproductive outcomes. The investigators findings will be used to inform a subsequent clinical intervention to optimize reproductive outcomes for obese women and their offspring.

Neuman Systems Model and Infertility Stress

InfertilityIntrauterine Insemination

In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of Neuman Systems Model based nursing approach on stress an coping with stress for women received intrauterine insemination (IUI) treatment. The study has been planned as a single blind experimental study in pretest-posttest design with randomized control. Sample group is going to be chosen from women who have taken IUI treatment in Ankara University Fertility Diagnosis, Treatment, Research and Application Center. Sample size of the study has been determined as 72 such that intervention=36 and control=36. While gathering data, personal information form, The COMPI Fertility Problem Stress Scales and The COMPI Coping Strategy Scales are going to be used. In the scope of the study, four interviews with women in intervention group are going to be done during IUI treatment.

Rekovelle PK Trial in Chinese Women

Infertility

FE 999049 is a gonadotropin preparation containing recombinant human follicle stimulating hormone (rhFSH) under development by Ferring Pharmaceuticals. It is intended for controlled ovarian stimulation for the development of multiple follicles in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycle. In previous trials the exposure to and dose proportionality of FE 999049 in a clinically relevant dose range in Caucasian and Japanese healthy women have been shown to be very similar. This is a trial in healthy Chinese women investigating the pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability of a single subcutaneous dose of FE 999049.

Controlled Ovarian StimulationInfertility

The study is a prospective, randomised, controlled, and non-blinded multi-center pilot study to evaluate endocrine efficacy of recombinant luteinizing hormone versus recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin administered during controlled ovarian stimulation for IVF/ICSI in normogonadotrophic women.

Goserelin in Preventing Early Menopause in Premenopausal Women Undergoing Chemotherapy for Stage...

Breast CancerInfertility1 more

RATIONALE: Goserelin may help prevent early menopause in patients undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. It is not yet known whether goserelin is effective in preventing early menopause in women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying goserelin to see how well it works compared with no goserelin in preventing early menopause in premenopausal women undergoing chemotherapy for stage I, stage II, or stage III breast cancer.

S0230 Goserelin in Preventing Ovarian Failure in Women Receiving Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer...

Breast CancerInfertility1 more

RATIONALE: Goserelin blocks hormone production in the ovaries. It is not yet known whether ovarian suppression using goserelin will prevent ovarian failure (early menopause) in women receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying how well giving goserelin together with chemotherapy works compared with chemotherapy alone in preventing early menopause in women with stage I, stage II, or stage IIIA breast cancer.

Female InfertilityFemale Infertility Due to Ovulatory Disorder15 more

The study will describe the effectiveness of ovarian stimulation in correlation with female infertility causes in a Lebanese population: a comparative study using 5 protocols of ovulation induction (treatment with "A" gonadotropins alone, "B" short GnRH agonist, "C" multiple-dose GnRH antagonist, "D" long GnRH agonist and "E" combined protocol of GnRH antagonist and agonist) and the outcomes of ICSI. This comparative study will help clinicians to select the relevant protocol of ovarian stimulation related to the female infertility disorders.

Hypnofertility for Women Undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (HWUIVF)

Infertility UnexplainedFertility Disorders

This randomized controlled study aimed to specify whether the interventions based on Hypnofertility would lead to increased fertility preparedness and pregnancy outcomes, decreased cortisol levels of women undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment.

The Effect of Vitamin D on Fertility

InfertilityInfertility3 more

Objective: To examine the effect of vitamin D supplements on the pregnancy and clinical pregnancy rate in embryo transfer cycles. Design: Experimental study with a pre- and post-test. Setting: In Vitro Fertilization Center Patients: Its sample consisted of 118 women, 58 in the experimental group and 60 in the control group. Intervention(s): At the beginning of the infertility treatment, the experimental group took vitamin D supplements, and the control group did not. Vitamin D supplementation for infertile women includes regulation of a diet rich in vitamin D, educational and motivational interviews about insolation, and taking vitamin D orally. Main Outcome Measure(s): 25(OH)D and beta HCG levels
