To examine the chromosomal number content in the blastomeres of embryos achieved from fertilization of immature oocytes at MI stage recruited following COH for IVF. comparison of the genetic number content of embryos and their quality in terms of cleavage rate and morphological score reached after fertilization of immature oocytes at MI stage whether arrested at the MI stage or extruded the polar body, after in vitro maturation for a variable length of time.

Female Infertility

Although Caesarean section (CS) is often a necessary surgical intervention, it may also be associated with an increased risk of short- and long-term sequelae. It was thought that CS may increase the risk of female subfertility or even infertility. In assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles, the process of implantation is believed to be the most important factor in determining pregnancy outcome. In view of conflicting results on the influence of a previous CS on outcomes of ART, this study will be conducted to investigate the impact of the mode of previous delivery on ICSI outcomes.

300 women with unexplained infertility who are already decided to be treated with ICSI will be recruited from Cairo university hospitals and Dar Al-Teb subfertility centre. On the second day of menstruation serum FSH, LH, Prolactin and Oestradiol will be assessed and the antral follicular count (AFC) will be assessed using a vaginal ultrasound scan. AFC will be defined as the number of follicles measuring 3-10mm. All patients will have standard pituitary down-regulation followed by (Human menopausal gonadotrophin (HMG) stimulation until the day of (Human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) administration. On the day of HCG administration, ovarian ultrasound scan will be performed using a transvaginal probe and the Preovulatory follicle count (PC) will be assessed, (PFC) is defined as number of follicles measuring≥16mm. FORT will be calculated as: (PFC) * 100/AFC.
