Assessing the Endometrial Environment in Recurrent Pregnancy Loss and Unexplained Infertility

Recurrent Pregnancy LossUnexplained Infertility

The purpose of this study is to determine if patients with recurrent pregnancy loss or unexplained infertility have an altered uterine gene expression or uterine microbiome (micro-organism composition) during the window of embryo implantation. Furthermore we would like to assess for women with an abnormal uterine gene expression whether vaginal progesterone medication improves or alters gene expression and for women with an abnormal microbiome whether antibiotic treatment followed by probiotic treatment normalizes the microbiome.

Luteal Phase Support During Frozen Embryo Transfer Cycle

InfertilityFemale1 more

We aimed to decrease quantity of exogenous estrogen and evaluated the success rate of ongoing pregnancy in women undergone artificial FET who have a surplus embryos at previous fertility treatment cycles. In this study, endometrial prepared with standard long GnRH protocol and for luteal phase support patients received 6 mg oral E2 and intramuscularly P 100 mg/d and embryos on day 2-3 were transferred. Control group continued E2 until 12 week of pregnancy, while for cases after identify gestational sac with heart beat (the 6 week of pregnancy) by vaginal ultrasonography, E2 will discontinued.

Discussion on the Association Model of Traditional Chinese Medi-cine Body Constitution and Female...

Association Model; Chinese Medicine Physique Types; Health Care Base on Traditional Chinese Medicine; Women Infertility

Abstract Background: Infertility may cause physiological and psychological distress. The Health Promotion Administration in Taiwan has listed infertility improvement under the "Reproductive health and prevention section" in the Whole Person Wellness policy. Methods: This study was based on an exploratory research design. It used artificial intelligence algorithms such as logistic regression and association rules, and constructed the association model between the physique literature of traditional Chinese medicine and common demographic variables. Results: The participants showed three types of constitutions in traditional Chinese medicine, namely Yin deficiency, Yang deficiency, and phlegm stasis. Infertile women who prefer to eat heavy or sour-tasting foods were 2.8 times more likely to have ovarian factors than those who do not like to eat those foods. Conclusions: Based on the correction between physique type and the demographic variables of infertile women, care based on traditional Chinese medicine should be pro-vided to improve the body constitutions of infertile women.

Sperm Micro-swim up Technique; Process and Select in the Same Dish: a Sibling-oocyte-split Design...

Assisted Reproductive TechnologyInfertility

A sibling-Oocyte-split design will be conducted on oocytes before denudation and divided into two groups : control group (MII oocytes will be injected using sperm processed by Density gradient method) and sample group ( MII oocytes will be injected by sperm processed using micro-swim up technique)

Embryo Health Study

InfertilityHereditary Diseases

This study intends to determine the patients' perception and motivation to obtain additional information on their preimplantation embryos' risks of polygenic disorders. Patients undergoing IVF and genetic testing on their embryos for aneuploidies will be given the option to obtain information of their embryos' polygenic disease risk after receiving genetic counseling.

Ovulation Trigger With hCG Compared to GnRH Agonist in Patients With Repeated IVF Failures

Infertility

Ovulation trigger is needed in in vitro fertilization (IVF) to get mature eggs. Routinely, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is used for that purpose given its similarity to the natural hormone that does this job in a natural cycle (luteinizing hormone, LH). In a natural cycle another hormone takes part in the process (follicle stimulating hormone, FSH). To induce a natural-like ovulation surge that includes LH and FSH , gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist can be given. The purpose of this study is to find out which approach may work better in IVF patients who experienced 4 IVF failures.

MSCs For Treatment of Azoospermic Patients

Male Infertility

In this study, we performed autologous BMDMSC transplantation to the testis of Azoospermic patients in a trial to enhance and activate the spermatogonial stem cells of the testis and aiming to produce motile sperm.

Evolutive Potential of Embryos Obtained From Oocytes After Luteal Phase Ovarian Stimulation

INFERTILITYFertility Preservation3 more

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical pregnancy rate per embryo transfer in oocytes recipients obtained after ovarian stimulation during the luteal phase of oocytes donors . This study will be performed in egg recipients and donors but this type of treatment is meant to be implemented in fertility preservation patients

Weight Management Intervention for Obese Women and the Live Birth Outcome of in Vitro Fertilization...

InfertilityObesity

The primary aim of the study is to evaluate if weight management intervention for obese women (BMI≥30<35 kg/m2) prior to IVF improves the outcome assessed as live birth per participating woman, as compared to women where no intervention was made.

Efficacy Study Comparing the Effect of Clomiphencitrate to an Antagonist Protocol

Female InfertilityOvarian Insufficiency

The aim of this study is to assess the oocyte yield of infertile women with suspected or known poor ovarian reserve (POR) undergoing a GnRH antagonist protocol for IVF with Merional® starting either with a low (150 IU) or a high dose (450 IU) and adding 100mg of CC (Serophene®) in the early follicular phase of the stimulation (day 3 to 7). To date no RCT has been conducted to compare the reproductive outcome of patients with POR as defined by the ESHRE Bologna criteria after controlled ovarian hyperstimulation with HMG in an GnRH antagonist protocol using low doses versus high doses of HMG and adding CC versus placebo. We hypothesize that adding 100 mg of CC on day 3-7 to a HMG antagonist protocol will lead to an additional increment of endogenous GT thus increasing the oocytes yield after controlled ovarian stimulation due to higher endogenous gonadotropin secretion.
