Cat Induced Allergic RhinitisThis is a single-center, prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, two-way crossover study. A live cat challenge model will be used for exposing subjects to Fel d1. Subjects who test positive for cat allergy symptoms during a priming cat exposure challenge will be eligible to enter the treatment phase of the study. Baseline efficacy measures will be obtained prior to the dispensing of study medication during both treatment periods. Cat challenges will be initiated 1.5 hours following treatment with study medication.

Seasonal Allergic RhinitisYou are being asked to take part in a research study of COLD-fX, a product designed to boost the immune system. COLD-fX is an extract from the roots of North American ginseng and it may offer some benefit to people with seasonal allergies. The purpose of the present study is to find out how effective and safe COLD-fX is in improving quality of life and reducing symptoms of seasonal allergies such as hay fever. COLD-fX is not yet approved for treatment of seasonal allergies. We are seeking to enroll 200 participants in the Capital Health region.
PURETHAL Grasses Rush Study

The safety of PURETHAL Grasses will be evaluated in a rush regimen (maximum dose reached in 3 injections during 2 weeks) compared to the conventional regimen (maximum dose reached in 6 injections during 5 weeks). The primary parameter will be the proportion of patients who experience systemic reactions > grade I within 24 hours after injection or who need more than 2 additional injections during the up-dosing phase until the maintenance dose has been reached. It is expected that up-dosing PURETHAL Grasses according to the rush regimen is as safe as using the conventional regimen.
