Outcome Following Surgery to Repair Rotator Cuff Tears
Rotator Cuff TearThere are two ways in which surgeons repair rotator cuff tears. An open method involves making an incision (cut) 5-6 inches in length in the skin and repairing the tear with the skin open, while the arthroscopic method involves making small holes in the skin and using a guiding camera and special equipment to repair the tear. This clinical study is being conducted to study the rate of re-tear (one year following surgery) of rotator cuffs that have been repaired using the arthroscopic technique.
Cutting-through at the Greater Tuberosity
Rotator Cuff TearsThe investigators evaluated the correlation between cutting-through at the greater tuberosity (GT) just medial to the lateral knotless anchor in arthroscopic suture-bridge rotator cuff repair and the bone mineral density (BMD) of the lumbar spine, hip and GT of the proximal humerus and to evaluate factors and clinical outcomes related to cutting-through at the GT.
Alterations in Spinal Alignment and Mobility in Individuals With Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair...
Rotator Cuff TearsPosture2 moreThe aim of this observational study was to the alterations in spinal alignment in individuals who have undergone RC surgery and revealed the differences compared to healthy individuals.
Opioid-Free Study in Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair
Rotator Cuff TearsThe purpose of this study is to develop and test an opioid-free pain control protocol for patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
Evaluation of Mechanical Characteristics of Tendons of Athletes Using Sonography
Overuse InjuryRotator Cuff InjuriesThe investigators analyzed the strain of the rotator cuff tendon of baseball pitchers obtained using ultrasonography and compared the change in peak tendon strain before and after the regular season.
Relationship of Patient-Specific Functional Scale With Shoulder Functions: A Prospective Study
Shoulder ImpingementFrozen Shoulder5 moreThe aim of the study is to examine the relationship between the Patient- Specific Functional Scale (PSFS) and shoulder functions in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program applied to patients with shoulder problems.
Hip Arthroscopy Improves Muscle Volumes in Patients With Femoroacetabular Impingement Syndrome
Femoroacetabular Impingement SyndromeTo explore the changes of the muscles around the hip joint after hip arthroscopy for patients with femoral acetabular impingement syndrome.
The Hug-up Test: A New, Sensitive Diagnostic Test for Supraspinatus Tears
Rotator Cuff TearsWe developed a new test, the "hug-up test," wherein elevation is resisted as the palm is held on the opposite shoulder with the elbow held in maximal anterior translation. The purpose of this study was to describe the hug-up test and compare it with other conventional tests used for diagnosing supraspinatus tears.
The Influence of the Greater Tuberosity Angle on the Clinical Outcome One Year Postoperative in...
Rotator Cuff TearThis retrospective study is to investigate the influence of the Greater Tuberosity Angle (GTA) in addition to CSA on patient outcome in patients with rotator cuff tear.
Polyester Patch in Massive Rotator Cuff Repair Improves Healing
Rotator Cuff TearThe purpose of this study was to assess the impact and potential advantage of a novel synthetic patch augmentation in repair of massive rotator cuff (RC) tears, using clinical and radiological approaches. The investigators hypothesized that implanting this patch will improve individual shoulder function, while reducing re-tear rates compared to the current literature.
