Arthroscopic Treatment of Bursal-side Rotator Cuff Tears in Shoulder Joint

Rotator Cuff Tears

A retrospective analysis was performed on patients with bursal-side partial-thickness rotator cuff tears who underwent arthroscopic surgery from January 2009 to December 2011. To investigate the diagnosis and arthroscopic treatment of partial rotator cuff bursa lateral tear, and to evaluate the postoperative functional outcome and tendon healing.

Evaluation of Functional Status, Physical Activity and Quality of Life in Patients With Rotator...

Rotator Cuff Syndrome

Pain is one of the most important factors affecting the quality of life. The quality of life of patients with pain and restricted shoulder movements can be affected in patients with Rotator Cuff Syndrome (RCS).

Reliability of the Subacromial Distance Measurements With Standard Radiographic Imaging

Subacromial ImpingementRotator Cuff Tears

Patients with complaints of shoulder pain or limitation of motion, who admitted to outpatient orthopaedic clinic will be analyzed. It was planned to measure the subacromial distance using standardized both shoulder ap, true ap and outlet radiographs, and ultrasound to be performed for shoulder circumference soft tissue and muscle-tendon evaluation. The measurement made by the physical therapy and rehabilitation specialist with ultrasound will be considered to be accurate, and it was planned to evaluate the reliability of the graphy measurements by comparing this measurement with the measurements in the graphs. In addition, it was planned to evaluate the intra-observer and inter-observer compliance by re-measuring the subacromial distance on the radiograph by orthopedic doctors of three different seniority levels with an interval of one month.

Clinical Results of Arthroscopic Repair for Massive Rotator Cuff Tears of 14 Cases

Rotator Cuff Tears

This study retrospectively analyzed data of 14 cases of massive rotator cuff tears who were treated with arthroscopic repair by the same doctor from October 2015 to December 2017, aiming to explore the surgical methods and clinical effects of arthroscopic repair for massive rotator cuff tears.

Epidemiology and Outcomes of Upper Limb Surgery: Analysis of Routine Data

OsteoarthritisDislocations18 more

Surgery is a common treatment type for damaged joints, tendons and nerves in the upper limb where conservative measures are inappropriate or have failed. These conditions are common and result in significant levels of pain and functional disability. The investigators are conducting a broad ranging study of variation in the provision of surgical treatment and factors affecting outcomes after surgical treatment of upper limb conditions. This will be a population-based study of all patients undergoing surgical treatment funded by the National Health Service (NHS) of England over a nineteen-year period. This study will help to understand the factors associated with a poor outcome following surgery, which can be shared with patients considering treatment options. The investigators will also document current and future health service burden associated with commonly performed surgical procedures including complications and repeat operations.

Interscalene Brachial Plexus Block Combined With Suprascapular Nerve Block

Rotator Cuff Injury

The investigators compared the results of sono-guided interscalene brachial plexus block (ISB) combined with arthroscopy-guided suprascapular nerve block (SSNB) with those of ISB alone within the first 48 h after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.

Clinical Outcome Comparison Between Medial and Lateral Offset Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty

Rotator Cuff TearProximal Humerus Fractures2 more

The purpose of this study is to prospectively evaluate two FDA approved implant designs for the Tornier Reverse Shoulder arthroplasty. The small difference in design is the amount of offset each implant has. This offset may improve clinical outcomes in the patient population. There have been no clinical comparative studies between these two designs in the literature to date. We would like to follow these patients for two years after implantation of the reverse shoulder and evaluate their radiographs, pain scores, and shoulder functional scores. this would be the first randomized prospective single blinded study of its kind.
