The aim of our study is to reveal a comparison between interscalene brachial plexus block and shoulder anterior capsular block with respect to their efficacy on pain relief during perioperative anesthetic management. As intraoperative hemodynamic stability is an important factor for surgeons to achieve better outcomes because of its effect on the quality of arthroscopic visualization for shoulder arthroplasty, the investigators will also observe the effects of this matter. 50 patients scheduled for elective surgery will be randomized by closed envelope method into two groups (n=20) receiving either interscalene brachial plexus block or shoulder anterior capsular block preoperatively. Each group receives standardized general anesthesia and perioperative pain management protocol. Data to be recorded are numeric rating scales, intraoperative and postoperative analgesic use, intraoperative hemodynamic parameters, and arthroscopic visualization score. Moreover, block performance time, motor block, and side effects or complications will be noted.

The goal of this pilot randomized pilot controlled trial (RTC)is to collect acceptability and feasibility outcomes of a physiotherapy individualized program in women with levator injury that is intended to be used in a larger scale multicenter randomized controlled trial (RTC) in the future. The main questions it aims to answer are if a physiotherapy program in women with a levator injury: Can improve the pelvic floor morphometry (PFM). Can improve urogynecological symptoms The effect of a physiotherapy program in the sexual function The effect of a physiotherapy program in the patient's fear avoidance beliefs about physical activity and work Type of study: randomized pilot controlled trial (RTC) The design of this trial will be a pilot randomized controlled trial with 3 arms. Participants will be randomized in 2 arm of women with levator ani injury to either physiotherapy or standard care and an arm of woman without levator injury Researchers will compare the 3 groups to see if a physiotherapy program have benefits in morphometry of the pelvic floor, urogynecological symptoms, sexual function and to avoid fear avoidance beliefs about physical activity and work.

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture

Single-blind, multi-centre, prospective, randomized controlled trial comparing Ligamys Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) repair, Internal Bracing ACL repair and conventional ACL reconstruction for relative clinical efficacy and economic benefit. Patients with a primary proximal acute ACL rupture will be included in either study 1 (0-4 weeks post rupture) or study 2 (5-12 weeks post rupture) of the LIBRE study.

This is a phase 1b investigator-initiated clinical trial that will evaluate the safety and feasibility of E-CEL UVEC® cells with the aim of improving outcomes for patients with full-thickness rotator cuff tears who undergo arthroscopic surgical repair. Allogeneic E-CEL UVEC cells will be delivered to the tendon repair site and to the muscle adjacent to the tendon repair site.

The BEAR III Trial for Bridge-Enhanced ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) Restoration

Bridge-Enhanced ACL Restoration (BEAR) is a new procedure being developed to treat patients with ACL injuries. In the BEAR procedure, an implant is placed between the torn ends of the ACL and the patient's own blood is added to the implant to stimulate ligament healing. We propose the current study to determine if older patients do better than younger patients (or vice versa) with this procedure. This is a cohort study designed to determine if age is a risk factor for a worse outcome after a bridge-enhanced ACL repair (BEAR) as defined by an 11.5 point difference on the IKDC Subjective or Objective Knee Evaluation score at two years after surgery. Additional objectives are to determine the effect of age on safety outcomes including infection, graft rejection, and need for further surgical procedures.

Collagen based -membrane derived from amniotic tissue can be used to help reestablish the natural synovial lining of the reconstructed ACL, in effect acting as both a barrier from the synovial fluid and as a scaffold to contain autologous mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors contiguous with the graft, thus aiding and perhaps accelerating the natural maturation and ligamentization process of the implanted graft tissue.
