Translation and Validation of the German Version of the Toronto Extremity Salvage Score (TESS) and...
SarcomaThe MSTS is an evaluation tool used worldwide to assess physical function in patients with musculoskeletal tumors. The questionnaire has already been successfully translated and validated in Portuguese and Japanese. Both the TESS and the MSTS have already been used in many studies that examined bone and soft tissue tumors - also in German-speaking populations. So far, however, there is no validated German version of these questionnaires. The aim of the study at hand is to translate the TESS and the MSTS into German and to validate them for patients with bone and soft tissue tumors / sarcomas.
Distal Tibia Sarcoma Treatment Using Allograft Arthrodesis of the Ankle
Bone NeoplasmThe study show the clinical results of limb salvage for primary malignant bone tumor of the distal tibia using block excision of the tumor and reconstruction with allograft arthrodesis with different methods of fixation (plates or intramedullary nail system)
11C-Acetate PET/CT Non-FDG-Avid Tumors
Soft Tissue SarcomasThyroid Cancer10 moreF18-FDG is the widely used PET tracer in the routine practice of oncologic disease imaging using the technology of PET-CT. However, FDG-avidity is a characteristic of the individual tumor. There are various types of human malignancies, which are not taking FDG in access. In these cases FDG is not a sensitive tracer of imaging. In search for other tumor PET tracers, C11-Acetate has been shown recently in a few early studies to have a potential value in imaging of non-FDG-avid tumors. The purpose of the current study is to assess the role of 11C-acetate PET in various tumors, which often are not detected by 18F-FDG and were not widely assessed until now.
Osteosarcoma and Ewing Sarcoma Treatment Response Assessment With Functional MRI Imaging in Children...
Ewing SarcomaOsteosarcomaThe purpose of the study was to investigate whether functional MRI imaging (diffusion weighted imaging) is useful for monitoring the therapeutic response of bone sarcomas in children and young adults. All patients will be scanned before, during and after chemotherapy. The findings on MRI will be correlated with histological finding after surgery. Second purpose : to define apparent diffusion coefficient value of the bone sarcoma. Third purpose : to try define prognostic factors, to investigate if there is a correlation between early treatment response and outcome.
Phase II Study of Chiauranib Capsule in Advanced or Unresectable Soft Tissue Sarcoma
Soft Tissue SarcomaThe purpose of this trial is to explore the preliminary efficacy of Chiauranib monotherapy in patients with advanced or unresectable soft tissue sarcoma who failed standard therapy, and the safety of Chiauranib monotherapy in patients with advanced or unresectable soft tissue sarcoma who failed standard therapy and the relationship between potential biomarkers and preliminary efficacy.
