Clinical and Biological Predictors of COVID-19 Disease in Older Patients
COVID-19The project is an observational, prospective study. Its aim is to deepen our understanding of COVID-19 in older patients hospitalized and diagnosed with COVID-19. In particular, socioeconomic, diagnostic, biological, functional, therapy data will be collected at the patients' admission, during hospital stay, at the discharge and 1, 3, 6, 12 months after discharge. Results and findings will help support changes in clinical practice and decision making, with the aim to reduce the use of healthcare services and the healthcare expenditure.
Outcomes and Prognostic Factors in COVID-19
COVID-19Elderly Patients3 moreThe primary aim is to study the short-term outcome of elderly ICU patients (≥ 70 years) suffering from COVID-19 using a multicenter and multi-national approach. The secondary aim is to investigate the properties of a simple frailty scale in this cohort, and in particular if this is an instrument that can be used for outcome prediction in this group. In addition, various other parameters of potential relevance for older critically ill patients will be studied.
Thrombo Embolic Events in Hospitalized Patients With Covid-19 Serious Acute Pneumopathy
COVID-19Hemostasis1 moreThe understanding of haemostasis and inflammation cross-talk has gained considerable knowledge during the past decade in the field of arterial and venous thrombosis. Complex and delicately balanced interaction between coagulation and inflammation involve all cellular and humoral components. Elements of the coagulation system such as activated thrombin, fibrinogen or factor Xa may increase inflammation by promoting the production of proinflammatory cytokines, chemokines, growth factors and adhesion molecules that lead to a procoagulant state amplifying the pathological process. Recent evidence supports inflammation as a common pathogenic contributor to both arterial and venous thrombosis, giving rise to the concept of inflammation induced thrombosis. Patients with infection of COVID-19 and severe pneumoniae seem to have higher risk of thromboembolism. The purpose of this project is to analyze hemostasis and coagulation of every hospitalized patient with infection of COVID-19. Blood sample for coagulation and hemostasis analysis will be collected on every patient hospitalized in Amiens hospital for COVID-19 infection. Thrombin time, factors V and II, fibrin/fibrinogen degradation products, antithrombin will be assessed every week. Anticardiolipin, anti-beta2 glycoprotein I and anti-annexin A2 antibodies IgG and IgM at day of admission and at fourth week after admission will be assessed. SARS-CoV2 viral load and serodiagnosis will be performed at the same time. At the same time venous ultrasound to diagnose thrombosis will be performed.
An Early Warning Model for Assessing the Onset, Progression and Sequelae of COVID-19
COVID-19Based on the characteristics of symptoms, differences in physical and chemical examinations and tests, and characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation, the evaluation indicators for the clinical early warning model were screened, and the "three-level early warning mechanism for COVID-19 patients at high risks, with progression to severe cases and sequelae was constructed.
A Follow-up Study of Immune Dysregulation in Patients With COVID-19
COVID-19ImmunosuppressionIn order to detect the immunosuppression status of COVID-19 patients, this study collected blood samples of COVID-19 patients on the 10th, 20th and 30th days after the onset of symptoms, and detected the proinflammatory, anti-inflammatory factors, immunosuppressive marker, immune cells in the blood samples to evaluate the immunosuppression status of COVID-19 patients.
Retrospective Study of COVID-19 on Reproductive Function
COVID-19This multi-center, retrospective cohort study aimed to determine which factors are associated with ongoing pregnancy rates in infertile patients received ART treatments during the current outbreak of COVID-19 infection.Couples who underwent IVF-ET/ICSI-ET/FET due to infertility in the department of Reproductive Medicine from 2022-11-23 to 2023-01-07 were included. Patients who were infected with Coronavirus were observation groups; the infection status and clinical outcome were tracked. Patients who were not infected with Coronavirus were control groups.
Post-COVID-19 Sequelae: Osteonecrosis of Femoral Head
OsteonecrosisDuring the most recent pandemy COVID-19, various advises concerning complications following high corticosteroid doses administration were pubblished in 2020. However, evidence is lacking about the incidence of Non-traumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) in patients experiencing COVID-19. The aim of the present proposal is to obtain a quantitative estimation of ONFH cases among patients previoulsy hospitalized and treated for COVID-19 at ASST-Papa Giovanni XXIII.
Markers of Neurological Damage Post Covid-19 in PLWH
COVID-19HivBoth HIV infection and Covid-19 are associated to cognitive and psychiatric impairment, like anxiety and depression. These disturbs are well-known in HIV infection and partially characterized in Covid-19.
Clinical Features of COVID-19 Patients
Covid19Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome1 moreThe data were retrospectively collected during the first and the second wave of epidemic in COVID-19 patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, at the moment of intensive care unit admission and during the in intensive care unit staying.
Investigation on the Incidence and Course of COVID-19 in Patients With Prior, Ongoing or de Novo...
Immune ThrombocytopeniaITP2 moreMulticenter retrospective and prospective observational study based on the collection of sequential anonymized data from principal Italian ITP centers, to describe the clinical course of ITP patients becoming infected by SARS-CoV-2 and of COVID-19 patients developing de novo ITP.
