HER2-CAR T Cells in Treating Patients With Recurrent Brain or Leptomeningeal Metastases

Malignant NeoplasmMetastatic Malignant Neoplasm in the Brain3 more

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of HER2-CAR T cells in treating patients with cancer that has spread to the brain or leptomeninges and has come back (recurrent). HER2-CAR T cells delivered into the ventricles of the brain may recognize and kill tumor cells.

Salvage Oligometastasectomy and Radiation Therapy in Recurrent Prostate Cancer

Recurrent Prostate CarcinomaMetastatic Malignant Neoplasm in the Bone4 more

This phase II trial studies how well surgery and radiation therapy work in treating patients with prostate cancer that has come back or spread to other parts of the body. Radiation therapy uses high energy beams to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Surgical procedures, such as oligometastasectomy, may remove tumor cells that have spread to other parts of the body. Surgery and radiation therapy may work better in treating patients with prostate cancer that has come back or spread to other parts of the body.

Advanced Malignant Solid NeoplasmMetastatic Malignant Neoplasm in the Liver2 more

This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and possible benefits of NBTXR3, radiation therapy, Anti PD-1 / PD-L1 in treating patients with solid tumor that has spread to the lung (lung metastases) and/or liver (liver metastases). NBTXR3 may help make tumor cells more sensitive to the radiation therapy. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Immunotherapy with Anti PD-1 / PD-L1 monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving NBTXR3, radiation therapy, Anti PD-1 / PD-L1 may help to control the disease.

Study of AU-007, A Monoclonal Antibody That Binds to IL-2 and Inhibits IL-2Rα Binding, in Patients...

Advanced Solid TumorMetastatic Cancer

This is a first in human, open-label, multi-center Phase 1 / 2 study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and initial efficacy of AU-007 in patients with advanced solid tumors. AU-007 will be administered either as a monotherapy, or in combination with a single loading dose of aldesleukin, or with both AU-007 and aldesleukin given every 2 weeks (Q2w)

Spine Radiosurgery for Symptomatic Metastatic Neoplasms

Metastatic Neoplasm to the SpineMetastatic Neoplasm

The purpose of this study is to compare three types of radiation therapy for cancer that has spread to the spine. The two types of radiation therapy used in this trial are External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT). EBRT delivers tightly targeted radiation beams from outside the body. SBRT is a specialized type of radiation therapy that allows high doses of radiation to small targets. This study will include standard dose SBRT and higher dose SBRT. Each participant will be randomly assigned to either EBRT, standard dose SBRT, or higher dose SBRT.

Treatment Efficacy of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy for Distress in Advanced Cancer Patients...

Cancer PainCancer5 more

'Distress' refers to emotional distress, including psychological distress, in cancer patients. This study aims to explore whether mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy for cancer patients is effective in relieving distress and to discover neurophysiological factors that contribute to relieving distress. Mindfulness meditation, which is the core of mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, can develop cognitive flexibility through 'awareness of what is happening now'. In this study, a mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy program is implemented for patients with advanced cancer, and clinical characteristics and conditions including distress level are observed through questionnaires and interviews. In addition, genetic data and brain imaging data are collected through blood sampling and brain magnetic resonance imaging. The ultimate goal of this study is to prove the therapeutic efficacy of a mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy program for distress of patients with advanced cancer through an in-depth and multifaceted integrated approach, and to understand the related neurophysiological mechanisms.

Metastatic Malignant NeoplasmMetastatic Malignant Neoplasm in the Bone

This trial studies how well 18F-FDG PET-MRI works for treatment planning in patients with spine tumors. Diagnostic procedures, such as 18F-FDG PET-MRI may help radiation oncologists plan the best treatment for spine tumors, as well as help in follow-up after radiation therapy.

PREventing Second Cancers With DOSTARlimab

Recurrent CancerPrimary Cancer1 more

PredoSTAR is a multicenter, randomized, open-label phase II study proposed to patients at high risk of SPC and in whom the treatment of the FPC does not include immunotherapy. Dostarlimab treatment will be started within 6 months after the completion of treatment for localized FPC (i.e. after the end of last CT, RT cure or surgery with a wash-out period of 4 weeks before to start Dostarlimab). Eligible patients will be randomized (1:1) to receive: Arm Dostarlimab : 4 intravenous (IV) injections of dostarlimab, Q3W or Arm No treatment

The Pain Squad+ Smartphone App To Support Real-Time Pain Management for Adolescents With Cancer...

Therapy-Associated Cancer

Pain negatively affects the quality of life of adolescents with cancer (AWC). It can also represent a high cost to the healthcare system and families. In response, our team has built a smartphone-based app, called Pain Squad+, which can give AWC real-time advice to manage their pain. The app uses pain diaries and personalized pain advice plus support from a registered nurse to give real-time pain management in all settings. This study will look at the impact of Pain Squad+, with or without the nurse support, on AWC health quality and healthcare costs over time.
