Burn-out Among Chinese Anaesthesiologist After COVID-19 Pandemic Peak and Its Protective Factor:...

Burnout

The investigators proposed a national representative survey to collect data of socio-demographic characteristics, level of exposure to COVID-19, depression, anxiety, ptsd, burnout and resilience of working anaesthesiologists across mainland China for the following purpose Explore the current burn-out rate of Chinese anaesthesiologists and compared it with data acquired in 2015; Explore the perceived covid-19 exposure of COVID-19 among Chinese anaesthesiologist. Explore rate of burnout, anxiety, depression, PTSD symptoms experienced by the participants Explore the protective psychosocial characteristics of burnout. (resilience) See whether covid-19 exposure contribute to higher burn out rate.

Psychological and Ethical Support for Hospital Professionals During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Suitability...

Psychological Stress

SARS-COV-2 has created an unprecedented health crisis, resulting in unprecedented mobilization of all hospital professionals. The massive influx of patients overwhelmed the human, therapeutic and material resources available, and teams were confronted with an unusually heavy workload in a highly stressful emergency context. These professionals were thus exposed to a risk of over-investment in a context of acute and repetitive stress over an indefinite period of time, combining a heavy workload, emotional challenges and specific ethical issues. These factors simultaneously affected the professional sphere but also the personal and family spheres (lockdown, risk of contamination). In this context, the mental health of hospital staff is considered to be more important than ever, as emphasized on numerous occasions by the Director General of Health and the French Minister for Health and Solidarity. Mental health involves the way in which individuals respond specifically to work-related suffering by developing individual and collective defensive strategies. Thus, the question of the mental health of hospital professionals cannot be considered without taking into account the strategies implmented to combat stress, and the factors that contribute or not to the construction and stabilization of the work environment (collaboration, support).

Perceptions and Representations of Vaccination Against COVID-19

COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome

SARS COV2, the virus that causes COVID-19, was first described in Wuhan, China. For this pathology, which causes severe respiratory infections, preventing the transmission of the virus has become fundamental, that is why vaccines have been developed. In France, this vaccination campaign took place in a context where the lack of confidence in vaccination is high: According to a November 2020 IFOP poll, only 41% of French respondents were willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19. To our knowledge, there are still few qualitative studies on vaccination on the current issue of vaccination against COVID-19.

Prospective COVID-19 Cohort Study, Dominican Republic

SARS-CoV-2 InfectionCovid19

This project will build on an existing CDC funded cooperative agreement in the Dominican Republic with the Brigham and Women's Hospital (2018-2023) that includes (i) prospective COVID-19 and AFI surveillance at two health facilities and (ii) a nationally representative cross-sectional community-based serological survey of approximately 7,000 healthy adults and children targeting SARS-CoV-2 and other AFI pathogens to be conducted between April and June 2021. This linked study will establish a nested cohort of 2,000 participants enrolled in the national serological survey and prospectively monitor them for COVID-19 symptoms, conduct serial serological testing, implement molecular surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 and sequencing for variants of concern, implement and evaluate WASH mitigation measures, and monitor uptake and perceptions of COVID-19 vaccines.

Reliability and Validity of the Turkish Version of SMİLE-C

Covid19

How the life style changed multidimensionally with home isolation in the period of COVID-19 is a new research question. Physical and social isolation, home isolation, and quarantine policies applied during epidemic periods such as SARS, MERS, Ebola have been associated with lifestyle changes (Lippi, 2019). Much of the research on the health impact of epidemics and isolation has focused on psychological issues such as stress-related symptoms and disorders and to a lesser extent social support and stress management. In contrast, the epidemic and its associated lifestyle issues during quarantine and isolation, including the impact of dietary changes, restricted physical activity, and increased indoor and screen time, are still not investigated. A limited number of studies have examined lifestyle changes during COVID-19 and previous epidemic periods. However, there is no Turkish survey that comprehensively deals with the lifestyle, the scope of which is expanding, today. The Brief Multidimensional Lifestyle Assessment Scale, which we planned to validate in our study, is a scale developed by Balanzá-Martínez et al to multi-dimensionally evaluate the lifestyle changes that occurred during the COVID-19 outbreak. It consists of 7 parts (Diet and Nutrition, Substance addiction, Physical activity, Stress management, Restorative sleep, Social support and Environmental exposure) and a total of 27 items. There are response options measured using a 4-point Likert scale. High scores indicate a healthy lifestyle (Balanzá-Martínez, 2021). In this context, we think that adapting the Short Multidimensional Lifestyle Assessment Scale / Short Multidimensional Inventory Lifestyle Evaluation - Confinement (SMILE-C) questionnaire into Turkish will make a significant contribution to the literature.
