This is of great concern as the field of Anesthesiology has expanded its services to various specialities like intensive care, postoperative pain management, labour analgesia, accident and trauma management, casualty etc. the role assigned to the anesthesiologist remains inaccurate even during COVID 19 pandemic. The aim of this study was to evaluate general publics' perception about anesthesiologist& anesthesia in operating and especially intensive care units during COVID 19 pandemic.

In addition to respiratory involvement, SARS-CoV 2, the virus responsible for coronavirus 2019 or Covid-19, appears to be responsible for renal involvement such as acute renal failure or proteinuria, so the mechanisms are not known at this time. The consequences of Covid-19 on renal function in the short and long term are not known. It is important to be able to better document these renal impairments to understand the mechanisms of this disease. The main objective of this study is to describe the prevalence of Covid-19-related renal damage (acute renal failure, proteinuria, microalbuminuria, hematuria) in a large cohort of patients in intensive care for SARS-CoV 2 infection with severe respiratory impairment. The other objectives will be to evaluate in this cohort the impact of these renal impairments on the severity of the Covid-19 disease, and to compare them to the renal impairments of patients in intensive care for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) due to other respiratory diseases. Blood and urine samples will be taken at the time of intubation in all critically ill patients with respiratory distress requiring mechanical ventilation for Covid-19 or other cause of respiratory distress with PaO2/FiO2 ratio < 300. Patients will be followed for the duration of their ICU and hospital stay. Data will be collected prospectively in three ICUs in the University Hospitals of Marseille.

This study has two main objectives. First, the clinical characteristics and outcomes of hospitalized patients with symptomatic Covid-19 disease will be compared between persons with a history of past or current TB infection or disease and those, who have had no TB history. The possible impact of an HIV-coinfection will be also addressed in the planned investigations and analysis. Second, the long-term consequences and clinical outcomes of Covid-19 up to 12 months post-infection will be analysed in both groups (with and without TB history) with the main focus on cardio-pulmonary outcomes.

SARS CoV 2 Infection

The rate of nosocomial SARS-CoV2 infections found in the different studies since the beginning of the pandemic is very variable (<1% in hospitals in the USA to about 20% in a British hospital). Mortality related to these nosocomial SARS-CoV2 infections is higher than in the general population. The risk factors identified for this nosocomial acquisition are multiple. We were confronted with nosocomial acquisitions and cluster situations in the services, without exhaustive data to measure these phenomena, and we lacked data to consider areas for improvement. The objectives of this study are to determine the proportion of nosocomial SARS COV 2 infections in the total number of patients hospitalized with a Covid-19 infection at the CHR Metz-Thionville in 2021, and to describe the characteristics of this population.

Objective of this study was to determine the relationship between CAC and septic condition in COVID-19 critically ill patients. Data including age, sex, comorbidities, quick Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (qSOFA) score, vasopressors requirement, laboratory findings: platelets, neutrophils, lymphocytes, procalcitonin (PCT), C-reactive protein (CRP), fibrinogen, D-dimer, sepsis-induced coagulopathy (SIC) and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) score were recorded on the day of admission and on the day of starting of invasive mechanical ventilation. Primary outcome was to establish CAC with sepsis; secondary outcome measure was incidence of CAC in sepsis and septic shock in COVID-19 critically ill patients.
