Predictive Value of Sublingual Microcirculation and Peripheral Tissue Oxygen Monitoring
SepsisChange and predictive Value of Sublingual Microcirculation and Peripheral Tissue Oxygen Monitoring in Sepsis Patients With Successful Fluid Resuscitation
Physiologic Indicators for Prognosis in Abdominal Sepsis Study
Acute PeritonitisAbdominal SepsisEarly detection and timely therapeutic intervention can improve the prognosis of patients with sepsis. However, early diagnosis of sepsis can be difficult; because determining which patients presenting with signs of infection during an initial evaluation, do currently have, or will later develop a more serious illness is not easy. Physiological deterioration often precedes clinical deterioration as patients develop critical illness. In this study, the investigators aim to evaluate vital signs in a global cohort of patients with acute secondary peritonitis, determining which parameters are statistically significant to predict in-hospital mortality and ICU admission.
Contamination of Bacillus Species Sepsis.
Bacillus Cereus InfectionBacillus species are ubiquitous gram-positive spore-forming organisms. They rarely cause disease in the immunocompetent and are more frequently isolated as a culture contaminant. However, Bacillus Species can cause severe systemic infections in immunocompromised patients including preterm infants. The purpose of this study is to identify the risk factors of these infections.
PCR Technic Evaluation in the Microbial Diagnostic of Septicemia in Hemodialysis Patients With Catheter....
Septicemia in HemodialysisThe aims of this study are to evaluate the PCR on whole blood approach to determine rapidly both the susceptibility and the identification of Staphylococcus responsible of septicemia in patients under hemodialysis with catheter. The results obtained with this novel experimental approach will be compared to those obtained on the same clinical samples by the routine diagnostic laboratory.
Central Venous Catheter Insertion Site and Colonization in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery
Central Line-associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSI)Central Venous Catheter Associated Bloodstream Infection5 moreRandomized controlled trial comparing femoral vs internal jugular insertion site of central venous catheters (CVC) in newborns and infants undergoing cardiac surgery. The experimental hypothesis is that the jugular insertion site is superior to the femoral in terms of catheter colonization.
The Association Between Chlorhexidine Bathing and Central Line-Associated Infections in Medical...
Central Line-associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSI)We conducted a retrospective observational cohort study assessing the relationship between regular bathing using 2% CHG wipes every other day and the occurrence of central line-associated infections (CLABSI) in patients within the medical intensive care unit (MICU).
Blood Volume Assessment in COVID-19 and Bacterial Sepsis
Covid19Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome2 moreIn patients with SARS-CoV-2 or bacterial infection admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU), the state of the intravascular volume, the characteristics of the blood volume components, and the development of a vascular leak is currently unknown. The relationship of these parameters with parameters of cardiac performance, lung edema and sublingual microcirculatory perfusion parameters have never been studied.
A STUDY BEFORE/AFTER THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ANTI-INFECTIOUS PRESCRIPTION AID
SepsisSeptic ShockAnti-infective strategy is a major public health problem. This is a before-and-after study of an anti-infectious prescription tool with a comparison of mortality at 30 days (then 3 and 6 months) between the two inclusion phases of 6 months each.
Integration of NAVOY® Sepsis in an Electronic Health Record System
SepsisThe study aims to evaluate the performance of NAVOY® Sepsis in predicting the sepsis risk in adult ICU patients. Data collection is performed via automatic retrieval from the electronic health record system to AlgoDx proprietary cloud service where it is analysed in a simulated environment.
